  1. Note to self - Need to go over this legislation and see what it exactly says. See the qualifier 'reasonably'? It allows an Officers 'opinion' that one was racing, hooning etc to be held to account in a court of law. An Officer doesn't have arbitrary power even though they may give that impression. Sure they can issue summary punishment such as confiscation but you do have recourse if what they did is unreasonable, it is just most HPV owners are young and not too familiar with the law and their rights. That is why I need to read up a bit more. I would never take a confiscation lying down or a yellow, and I would pursue a cop who steps out of line with all legal avenues available. This is not a police state, they are public servants and accountable to me and you.
  2. Hai, Soundz lik ur trans-shaft-widget-oil-convertor-thingimajig haz a leek.
  3. I think he's joking. But let's be honest, who doesn't give it a squirt every now and again? There's a time and a place.
  4. Sorry to hear about that. Where in Perth did this misfortune occur? Tunnel?
  5. I used to like black or white Russians; coke or milk with vodka and tia maria. Quite expensive but taste nice. Don't really drink much these days though. Like crisp lager like Tiger beer, asahi etc when I do.
  6. Technically they are only 'in-laws' if you're married.
  7. I think Ten Four just put a silent Hi-power on his 33 GTR. I've got one on my GTST and it's quite tolerable...not too loud etc but not quiet either...doesn't 'drone' when idling or at low revs.
  8. son of rajab that's a nightmare. My stupid GPS has led me over it a couple of times. Never again!
  9. Does anyone know if ATTESA is effected by having 'stability control' off in options? Is the 'stability control' like an extra layer of software control over and above ATTESA, 'yaw control' etc and other mechanisms found in the cars themselves? /wish the 33 GTST was available.
  10. Breaks my heart when I see an import with nasty rims, Mazda owners seem to like them alot.
  11. S13 with an RB26 conversion FTW.
  12. Mill point ramp to Kwinana northbound. Annoying bump towards the bottom of the ramp I need to brake for. It's a big metal 'joint' in the road between sections.
  13. It will be an N/A taxi. N/A's have big following around here.
  14. Yeah try fishtailing it. lol
  15. 'V8'culture seems to all about 1/4 times and HP bragging rights. I'm not saying it sucks just it's a bit narrow and anachronistic. Like it's still the 60's. I don't see much in the mags about handling and stuff, 'track' racing etc....hard to do in a car w/ a big block Chevy obscuring vision, a weight of 2 tons and a live axle I guess. It's all 1/4 times and HP, chrome, nasty alloy wheels etc Still the sound of a big V8 does sound cool all spluttering and clattering at the lights....
  16. Deleted. Reason see below.
  17. Martin drives an N/A so go easy on him.
  18. Most likely you are lean which could be for a ton of reasons related to timing issues ,fuel delivery system, intake leak, etc. Also could be running too rich just when you accelerate then back off the throttle. Getting boost issues? De-catted?
  19. You notice much difference with street driving? Does it make the 33 less nimble & more boat like?
  20. I use a medium one made by 'gear up' for my 33. It is good for up to 4.7 m. It is ever so slightly small but the 'large' size is WAY to baggy. You should be ok w/ the 34 then for medium.
  21. Mends street South perth between Mill point and Labouche rd, almost underivable.
  22. Ok I'm talking 'proper' roads not some rural roads in the back of beyond. I drive to work down orrong rd and there are some bad potholes southbound/eastbound on the left lane just before the Leach. I try and weave around them normally. Some rds in Subi are crap and tons of stupid speed humps. Southbound on the Kwinana just before the narrows where the rd goes down and right, there are some 'joints' in the rd, on the far left lane one of these joints - whilst not being a 'bang' type jolt - lifts the car up then down real fast and you get a big 'jounce' in the steering. Makes the car kind of creak and flex. The sort of thing that would catch you out a bit if you going 'fast' and weren't expecting it, especially as there is a big barrier inches to your left. Obviously if you are running soft as stock suspension or sway bars you may not notice it quite so much.
  23. I'm doing that same tonight. Have shoulder surgery tomorrow and probably won't be driving for 2 months or so. I was gonna wash it first, then disconnect battery then car cover. It's in a secure car park where I can see it everyday and it's just outside the window of my flat. One thing is my car cover just stretches on apart from one tiny rope in the middle. I've got some straps of my own to put over it for secondary security. Wind could easily get under a cover that is just 'stretched on' and blow it off one end of the car.
