  1. I think they are somewhat small and ghey....a little too poserish even if not hairdressery.
  2. Do you want more rigidity at the front though? What you want in a crash is for the driver compartment to stay intact but for everything else to deform/yield and absorb the energy. i.e crumble zones etc. That way the rate of deceleration on the driver/passengers is less. If you're adding rigidity/strength to the front it's the opposite effect surely?
  3. Damn you must be rich to think about buying a 34 GTR after graduation. What are they 50k? Yeah could get you in trouble you are right, but same for everyone.
  4. Thanks for the tip. I slid it fwd just a little this morning.
  5. Yeah true. When I was 18 an N/A R34 would have been a dream come true, otoh if you ever drive a turbo and really give it some you won't want to go back.
  6. Just the radio function. I can play CD's w/ the aerial totally retracted.
  7. Mine retracts all the way...but then it is the 40th anniversary edition.
  8. Mine extends when I turn the radio on and retracts when I turn it off.
  9. You're doing something wrong then.
  10. Nice one. I'll look out for it on the streets. I'm in the 'rare' standard R33 in white. BTW that is an enormous aerial you have there sir!
  11. Maybe I need a tune/build that is super laggy and has reduced throttle response?
  12. I just drove to subi and did some experimenting on the terrible roads around there. I think my driving style has been to control the throttle with the middle/arch of my foot, this means that any involuntary movements of my foot due to acceleration/deceleration have quite alot of leverage over the throttle. If I use my toes or ball of foot then bumps have less effect. It just feels a bit unnatural and I'll have to get used to it.
  13. Yeah it's not to do with speed bumps as such or the jerky spaz clutch action that beginners/learners have. I was thinking it may be something to do with my seat position also, like it's giving my leg/foot too much freedom (or something) to move back/fwd or up/down involuntarily? What I am basically saying is...hit bump and G's force foot on throttle, car accelerates...acceleration moves weight back and foot lifts off throttle a bit, car then decelerates, weight moves forward and foot is forced on throttle...car accelerates moves weight back and foot lifts off and process repeats. Like I said it's in 1st and 2nd mostly. If I'm in 3rd then there seems to be more a dampening effect, as the car doesn't accelerate or decelerate so much with the same throttle inputs.
  14. Hey Firebreather, very nice car. Is that a TK upgraded aerial BTW? It's absolutely enormous!
  15. I've got a UV interior light. Does that count as rice especially if I drive around at night with it on?
  16. Depends if it's emissions tested right? You can get away w/ a gutted cat at the pits if nobody knows right?
  17. If you are married or have a g/f get her to take it to the pits in a low cut top.
  18. Yeah not speed bumps as such, I don't go over them fast. I mean just the bumpy/poor surfaces of intersections etc. We've got some real cr@p roads here in Perth that is for sure. Yeah taking your foot off the gas until the car settles seems to work, but this seems to mean that with some traffic lights/intersections you just can't do a 'hero' type launch....er hypothetically that is. I guess that is the prices of stiff suspension for good cornering?
  19. Hmm not that fast, but I've been driving a bit more 'uninhibited' now I've got some mild mods. I've had my foot totally on the floor a few times lately just to test the car out. Within the speed limit of course and with no loss of traction.
  20. It's a workshop/garage just near Freo. xspeed If you want to use it just let me know and I'll tell 'em that you are gonna borrow it. To be honest you would just be better off getting a hi-flow cat installed properly, but up to you.
  21. Stock turbo back system of mine is in storage at xspeed if you want to use it? Includes factory cat which is quite old but better than nothing.
  22. When you go over a bump and the G's force your foot down further on the throttle, the car speeds up/lurches, foot comes up, then down in this horrible lurchy/jerky acceleration/deceleration of repeat, repeat, until to lift your foot off. Some sort of positive feedback or something going on? I'm finding this happens more now I've stiffened up my suspension and put stiffer sway bars on. It tends to happen at certain intersections in 1st or 2nd gear. Kind of embarrassing. Anything I can do?
  23. Look pal you need a tune is all and maybe an after market ECU. ...ain't a tuned race car around that runs a 'zaust system for 'back pressure'.
  24. It will be for some other reason. Was it a fuel injected V8 or a carburettor? Even if it was fuel injected I bet you were running lean and needed a re-tune. The problem is the inadequacy of your fuel delivery rather than to do with the way a piston engine works. Do F1 or Nascar run mufflers? Topfuel?
