  1. lol. Polo shirt tucked into 'leisure slacks'. /I've got a gps on my R33 window! //inside of course! ///Beemers should have mesh wheels.
  2. How do you think the Aboriginals got here?
  3. It's like something from Alien.
  4. I see now it is 'official' that they set that boat on fire now....everyone knew that anyway. Is it me or is South Perth becoming full of illegals/Asylum seekers. Seems to be scruffy males of Middle-Eastern persuasion walking around in sandles all over the place?
  5. I'm doing coil-overs, POD, and 'zaust at the moment. My instinct is to 'fcuk it' and not bother with permit BS and the costly emissions test. I'm worried I'll void my insurance though?
  6. Not a big fan of the 4 door 34. Looks too generic, dated even now.
  7. Not wiping your rear end if not good. lol
  8. Thanks nisskid. I'll have a chat to my garage about it. I've got +40 offset wheels on my 33 GTST. They look good but I think there is scope for say +10 spacers to make it a bit 'fatter' w/out rolling the guards.
  9. I've got some Hippermax III on order. Not cheap but I've been told u get what you pay for.
  10. Awesome stuff NYTSKY!
  11. Get one of those stickers "I support the local Cops" or something to that effect....put it in your back window. Should help.
  12. Nisskid - what's your opinion on spacers? Dangerous or ok?
  13. Nice Coke Zero in the drink holder...sorted.
  14. Top gear (UK) works 'cos of the chemistry. The Australia trio come across as fake and false....they are just trying to hard instead of creating something which is unique to them. Nobody watches Top gear UK for the in depth technical stuff or even 'objective' car reviews, it's more about the trio (their chemistry and challenges) and the cars are just props.
  15. Think carefully. Once you get that mortgage you have in effect shackled yourself in a huge chain never to have ready cash to spend on toys again. lol If your 33 is good and you are happy, I'd keep it an mod it. 20k would have it singing. 'Better the devil you know' in some ways? Buy a new car and it could be a lemon.
  16. A fair amount I would suggest especially if you pay someone to do it. It's beyond a stage 1 tune. Plus I'd think it would be wise to add costs for suspension, brakes, clutch (defo) at that sort of power. I like all Skylines. I bought a 33 GTST for a few reasons. One it was stock and clean. A stock car (assuming it has not been modded then de-modded) is more likely to not be on the verge of mechanical meltdown. Another is it's my first 'fast' car and I didn't want to spend the extra 10 k say that a good 34 GTT would cost. Maybe I'd not really enjoy it that much (wrong anyway). Another reason for getting stock is that with 'only' ~130 kw at the rw's I'd be less likely to have an upset and crash etc. Not that I am a poor driver but I'm old enough to know I'm inexperienced with HPV's and it is only prudent to be like that IMHO. I wasn't considering a 32 GTR 'cos of the power for that reason, even though I like the look...and they are a GTR. Also I needed a daily drive and was wary of the complexity which implies more servicing etc. I like the look of the 33 S2 even though some don't....I like that long(ish), lowdown, look...wide. It looks longer than it is of course, but it has that presence like say a Soarer...the long(ish) bonnet, mean, muscley, it's really only a medium sized car of course though. The inside is fairly roomy, doesn't feel cramped...feels expansive in the front seats. Yeah the 34 looks great I think also, more aggressively styled but less like an archetypal 'tough' car IMHO which is what the 33 looks like...the trade off is that the 33 is a bit more anonymous.
  17. Enjoy it. I know I would. Be safe.
  18. Probably just jealous of your car. What did you do rob a bank to buy and insure it?
  19. Sorry what's so bad about those plates???
  20. It's a 'badge engineered' GM car. It's only 'Australian' insofar as its clever marketing would have you believe.
  21. That is fair enough but I think we'd be interested in how he crashed in the tunnel...call it a lesson learned?
  22. They are illegal from a taste perspective anyway. lol
  23. It only work in conjunction with The CrystalsTMwhich you put in your engine bay.
  24. I think the smaller engine being lighter is implicit in the caveat; all (other) things being equal. That makes a vehicle lighter and also the internal moving parts (quite important). You know as well as I do that most driving is stop/start in traffic, so yes the more powerful car (being heavier) is going to require more fuel/energy to travel x amount of distance stopping and starting x amount of time. Also Drivers of more powerful vehicles tend to accelerate quicker than Drivers of underpowered vehicles...that uses more fuel.
  25. Water pump leaking. Rocker cover gasket leaking. Wrong left tie rod. Ball joint has play on front left. Electric mirrors don't fold in. Front brake pads 80% worn. 2nd gear Synco is worn a bit - can't get a real fast gear change w/ out it being notchy and 'catching' a little. Odd rust spot on roof which needs touch up paint. Right wheel arch on the body has a few rust spots need dealing with. Stock everything (almost). Head unit just plays CD's. No Ipod support. Hasn't impressed any women yet. lol
