Ok this may be a dumb question, but I have an immobiliser/alarm in my R33 which is somehow hooked up to the head unit so you can key in a code (via a special sequence) to disable the immobiliser - if you need to - for whatever reason like if maybe you lose your little xmitter or battery runs out.
So my question is...if I want to install a new head unit - which I am thinking of doing - then what should I do about the immobiliser? Do I have to do anything? I don't want to find out my car won't start after I rip out the head unit say.
I see your perspective. You want to ensure there is never going to be any potential 'blow-back' to the site owner.
OTOH has there ever been an Australian website owner prosecuted for defamation?
Seems a bit unfair that one can post positive experiences with a shop but not negative ones?
...and I don't think the OP was talking about opinions but FACTS.
Can you get a good R34 GTT for 20K?
You could get a mint late model R33 GTST, and have a wad of change to spare.
R32's are getting a bit long in the tooth. Just makes it harder to get a good one, but not impossible. GTR's cost more to service also.
Can you post what workshop this was? I'm in your neck of the woods and would like to know....even if their 'misdeed' is only being alleged by you (hint, hint).
Dumb idea doing 'roids. Lots of the people I know who did them weren't even serious about their fitness. Just a perceived 'easy' way to look ripped etc. Idiots who aren't looking after themselves.
You got to get out of this idea that all that matters is the size of your biceps and how much you can bench.
Been there done that in my early 20's. Was a buzz I guess. Now I prefer a good all round fitness with running etc. Also stuff like staying flexible and looking after my body more. I've had loads of bad injuries...and currently need surgery on my shoulder. Don't want to be superman anymore.
Sure but the Skylines bring a certain notoriety, mystique...it's an image thing. That is kind of sexy in its own way. RX7's won't attract the Cops.
rx7 = Winona Ryder (beautiful but fragile and delicate)
Skyline = Michelle Rodriquez (tough with attitude)
Damn, back in my day an MGF was considered exotic for a high school kid (6th form back in the UK) to drive. Most of us had beat up old Ford Fiestas, Novas....and Fiat Pandas (shudder).
Are they known to be pricey?
I've seen some on ebay but don't like shelling that kind of cash out online. Ebay is ok for buying bits and pieces like Nismo stickers and stuff.
They rock. Simple and clean shape. They suit the R33 as a 90's era car by respecting it. Too be honest I'm kind of opposed to the whole 'mod movement where guards are rolled/flared etc.....it's brutalising the intended design of the car. In 20 years time the original car as an 'era design' will look x10 better than the highly cosmetically modded stuff of today. They will be like faded tatts or the embarresing haircuts you had years ago.
What size are those P1's BTW? 17"
Nah steam power is where it's at. A Commodore SS Ute can haul it's own 'coal bunker' about in the back. That is REAL power, non of this soft as internal combustion engine cr@p.
