  2. what are sump baffles? whats the benifit and whats the cost? i am getting the block bored to fit the new pistons. also, would i be better off getting a single turbo conversion? i just like the idea i only dealing with the one turbo. i would like boost to come on before 2500 and full boost before 5000rpm. what turbo should i go for? this car will be a street car, not a drag car. would i be better sticking with a twin turbo?

  7. so do the turbos.. run it in for a while.. then get the other items (fuel pump, injectors, power FC) yep the car will not be over 11psi during run in... and will be treated carefully for the 1st few 1000 kms.
  8. yep.. i beleive the oil pump was the cause of the bottom end dying. so i would like to get an r33 gtr one or better as i have heard the r32 gtr ones arnt as good
  9. i just thought it would be a good opportunity while the engine was out to do this because it would save money? not a good idea or???? I just dont want a turbo to blow 2 months down the track..
  10. well my bottom end died the other week. decided on a full rebuild what parts do i need? (i dont want what isnt needed) i was also looking at getting some performance upgrades while the motor was out im looking at getting the following pistons: ARIAS PISTONS - Suit bore size of 86.5mm. Pistons are 20thou over Turbo: im looking at getting HKS 2530's will i need an aftermarket computer like power FC? will i need biger injectors? will i need bigger fuel pump? will it be ok to drive at 12 psi using standard fuel pump and injectors? because i wont be raising the boost for a while until the motor is run in. what else is needed? (what else SHOULD be done now while the motor is out) any help would be great thanks,

  17. i am in brisbane, the car can be shipped at buyers expense. i would like to have the car sold within 1 month, so if anybody has some sort of offer let me know.. but i think 17k for this car is very good, its a sexy car, just needs engine repair. cheers,
  18. where is padstow? im guessing nowhere near brisbane? lol my gtr shit itself yesterday and im in need of a new car... preferably not another one that will die on me.. how much to get engineered?
  19. 1990 R32 GTR yesterday the engine failed, and i have now lost compression in cyclinder 4. im selling the car for 17 grand as it is. im not sure how bad the damage is but a full rebuild can be done for around 8 grand... which would make the car 25grand on the road with a fresh engine and a few other goodies as listed below. i am selling as i cannot afford a rebuild.. 129xxx kms (aftermarket dial, true kms unknown) 3 inch HKS stainless cat back TRUST Pod filter's Kei Office Coilovers ROH 17inch wheels wrapped in 255's Recaro front seats 15PSI Wing removed DBA cross drilled & slotted breaks new bandix advance break pads (3 days old) all new plenum gaskets $$$ new 02 sensors panisonic touch screen tv (folds out of dash) DVD player, mini disk player, cd player JVC rear and pioneer front speakers autometer boost gauge pivot turbo timer front strut brace driver and passenger recaro seats razo pedels bonnet pins gold cam covers plug cover removed r33 GTR AFM's new iridium plugs comes with standard GTR wing (plates are not included, comes with about 4-5 months rego)
  20. well guys the engine has had it. cyclinder 4 has no pressure. im selling the car for 17grand i dont know how bad the engine is but if it needes a complete rebuild this can be done for around 8 grand with quality parts....
  21. oh i wish that was the problem lol. car is now at mechanics getting a compression test done the car was compression tested 2 weeks ago and everything was fine... even across all cyclinders....
  22. yeah i dont think the fact of boost has anything to do with it, i didnt have my foot flat ever when the boost was on unlimited. i have stock turbo and stock ecu car going to mech now... they think maby something has come loose from the gear box
  23. the thing is i didnt leave a wastegate pipe off... and i have no idea why it was running unlimited boost... i hit 16psi about 2-3 times and after that i didnt put my foot down after that until it was fixed the pipe blew off due to a dodgy clamp, so i bought a new one.. after i clamp it on is when i stuffed up.. and i only hit less then 2 psi for it to come off.. BUT SOME GOOD NEWS! the car turned over.. it tried to start just before. i had a look around the fuel filter in the engine bay and i can see a small metal pipe going nowhere... it looks like a rubber pipe has falln off it. im going to have another look and see whats going on
