  1. i got one from just jap for $125 this was for a GTR one.. and they are also interchangable... atleast i know the rb20 and rb26 are
  2. ok here is the long story of what happened.. i herd a ticking noise when coming on boost.. it then started to sound a little like a truck... i was 99% sure that i have just done a turbo gasket or something.. so i went to change it.. i was unable to take off the zaust manifold with my tools.. so put it all back togethor.. then for some reason it was running unlimited boost... it went to 16psi when it should be 14ish... so i didnt boost it after that.. i when to check for pipes from wastegate actuator for leaks.. i saw that a pipe was old and cracked.. i replaced it with a new one... put all back togethor... went for drive and an intercooler pipe came off.... (i drove for about 15 mins with a loose pipe as i didnt know it was loose.. it was just dropping at 5 psi (as i said right at the start of this thread) it didnt show any weird signs apart from the loss of boost i replaced a hose clamp with a new one, put the pipe back on.. and then after that is when it died on me hope this info helps
  3. im assuming you engine starts but it just splutters and cuts out tho? mine doesnt even try to start
  4. yes i hear the whining noise... but i thought its the attessa system pumping the fluid?... also this noise only goes for about 1 second when usually it goes for about 4 seconds when i crank it, it doesnt try to start or anything, its just the starter motor that kicks over
  5. i have a dark scary feeling that something is seriously wrong with the motor.. i actually do remember some weird noises before it died... like a bit of a tinny rattle
  6. oh, i also didnt hear any sus noises.. the revs just went down and it cut out... kinda depressing end really
  7. ok. some more bad news! i found the problem of the above... a pipe had come off.. i put it back on and thought it would go fine.. i went for a test drive.. i took off in 1st. i only reved to about 1500rpm to 2000rpm, because the motor was still a little cold.. put in 2nd.. then 3rd.. didnt rev over 2000rpm.... then while in 3rd the revs started to drop.. .. i put the clutch in and tried to rev it.. (the clutch was heavier then normal) the car then cut out.. i pulled over and tried to start but the engine didnt kick over.. all the belts moved when trying to start but it didnt turn over... in all this i probably hit a MAX of 1 or 2 psi. PLEASE HELP
  8. hey EDIT: please refer to the 5th post well my r32 gtr was running fine but the boost was a little high. so i checked for a leak from a wastegate actuator i found a pipe that looked a litte old so i took it off and replaced it. i also cleaned the AFM's with electric contact cleaner while they were off. i also reset computer. now when i hit boost it goes to 5 psi then it make a loud noise, sounds like lots of air coming out from somewhere. then the boost quickly drops to 3 psi as it makes the nooise. i have checked all pipes and cant see a leak, i also replaced a clamp to make sure. now all i did was replace a little pipe from the rear wastegate actuator. do i have to suck out any air that are in these lines or anything??? i cant see why it would be doing this.. also its seems to backfire a bit more
  9. hey, yesterday i was going to change a turbo gasket.. (didnt happen cuz had to get under car) anyway, when i put all the stuff back togethor and took it for a test drive the boost just kept going up.. it should stop at 14psi.. but i saw the gauge go a bit over 15... i only had my foot half down and it seemed as if the bost would have kept going up... what could be the problem?? i have checked all the hoses going from the wastegate actuators, tightened clamps etc.. but its still too much boost. i didnt really touch anything either, just undid some pipes etc and stoped at the exhaust manifold and put it all back togethor... the ecu was also reset.. help please.. i dont wana hurt my baby by running too much boost thanks

  12. i have left the holes in the boot on purpose incase the new owner (or myself) wants to put the rear wing back on. ATM the holes are covered with red tape i will talk to my Dad about shipping the car. i would obviously prefer to sell to somebody in QLD. but might be able to ship ENGINE PICTURE
  13. i have ordered a full turbo gaskit kit from nissan.. manifold > turbo & turbo > dump.. these will be put on on the weekend. does anybody want to make an offer??? i have found a car i want but i have to sell this one 1st i can remove some parts to make it cheaper.. like zaust (stocker will go on), seats (need your own to go on) boost gauge.. i will sell it with all the gear for 24500 if somebody wants to change the gasket themselves, otherwise il be doing it on the weekend.. i have already ordered the gaskets from nissan... they were $150 its a great looking car and will be missed! il even thro in a drift DVD for the drive home

  20. mine was at about 1.5 after driving on the highway for a while, i think its ok but just checking to make sure. cuz when i get to around 5500rpm it makes a popping noise.. sounds kinds like a rev limiter but a lil different.. anybody know what that could be?
  21. did a search with little help so... just wondering where my oil pressure gauge should be pointing after 50 mins of highway driving at 110kmph?
  22. im constantly trawling the classifields. before i even buy a car im usually thinking about selling it.. atm im looking at getting a 180sx again...
