yer it does ey... i asked the guy when i was buying it if he goes on cruises and stuff and he said back in his asian voice " Cruisess.. what do u mean, cruises". lol..
O well.. least it looks schmik now.
Ima cruisin...
The attached image is the before photo. (when we were looking at it a while ago)
I am quite happy with it.. I am putting a fmic and rest of the exhaust on this weekend too
looks like this now
yer its got to go in for the major service soon,
gaven woods could help me out here i guess?
would he have to order a new knock sensor in? or would he have some already?
How much would it cost to fix????
Im getting the dump/front and highflo cat & fmic on this weekend and i will want to fang it a bit... But i dont think i should or will it be ok?
yer thought that might happen.. i snapped one off my turbo heatshield...
Say i do end up snapping one.. after soaking it and tapping it with a hammer and everything... how would i get the broken bolt out?
1, what do you mean by test the wiring? how could i do this?
2, how much is a knock sensor?
3, where do i get 1 from?
4, can i put it in myself? If not, who can?
i dont know what they look like
i would also like to know a bit on this..
I got mine yesterday.. Looks great btw
the current bolts that are holding the dump to the turbo..
I bet that if i try to undo them they will snap off in the process... I can see it now... then what the hell do i do...
could i loosen the bolts with some wd40 or something and tapping it lightly with a hammer?
my dual stage controller didnt let me run under 14.7psi..
So i got rid of that and now have an old school turbosmart controller.. It seems to work fine.
I read somewhere that if the hose from the pressure source to the wastegate actuator is longer, boost will come on harder.. But has more chance of spiking, is this true?
Ok I did the ecu test.
came up as 34 - Knock Sensor
This would be the reason for my missfiring problem i guess...
How do i fix this problem?
O2 sensor test -
Flashed on and off, so this is fine.
Ok did the test.

I am currently working in an admin position and have been for the last 4 months.... its getting a bit old now.
I am realy interested in getting a mechanic apprenticeship. Does anybody know where I could go for one. I know i dont know everything that i need to but thats what apprenticeships are for.
I have only done simple stuff like installing single and dual stang boost controllers on a wrx and skyline, also will be installing a fmic on the weekend. Its a start tho.
So any help would be great.
The gearbox is starting to get a bit rough so its time to top it up.
There was a thread about this a while back.. dont know where its gone tho.
Anyway,
1. What oil should i use for the gear box?
2. Where abouts is the plug for it?
3. What oil should i use for the transfer case?
4. Where does this go?
5. Where can i get this oil from?
6. Do I need anything else to do this apart from the oil and a pump?
7. Will oil go everywhere?
Thanks guys.
the only mods i have are catback (get my dump/front and highflow cat in a day or 2) pod filter and boost at 14psi. I dont mind if the turbo slowly shits itself as i plan to go bigger. I am aiming for about 180rwkw.
If i get a reading of 14psi without the fmic.. Will i get a higher reading after its hooked up, say 16psi? Should i turn the boost down then or is it ok cuz the turbo is still only pushing about 14psi..
I want it at about .9bar as i dont often hit boost during the day and at night rarely go over .6bar
