went to hop in it tonight to move the car for my old man to put his ute in the garage... no clutch at all.... push straight to the floor it grabbed soon as i let the foot off the floor i thort far out this is worse.. went to put it in first.. car didnt respond at all let the car roll for a bit pushed the clutch in and out didnt even react... no clutch wat so ever.. eventually managed to just clonk it into first the clutch jus grabbed and i quickly put it in the driveway... hopefully its just my master cylinder or a seal of some sort not letting fluid/pressure through????? also how much wud a master be fitted? cheers
-
yeah i have a mate who owns a shop i'll take it to him tomorrow.. i think its my master on its way out and giving up on life lol. cheers
-
yeah the clutch works properly soon as its past the grabbing point when letting the clutch it its just soft as nething..... and the grabbing point is literally soon as i lift the clutch off the floor its grabbing so over 3/4 of the pedal is just free play until i hit the floor almost.. whereas before it was pretty hard all the way thru which is wat i liked... my friend who has also driven the car said its definitley different but he said if its any consilation thats how his clutch feels and it doesnt feel burnt out (ive only recently just got my p's so i havent been driving manual for years and years) so yeah ill get that spring looked at though and hopefully thats wat it is cheers mate!

hey guys my 34 sedan has a heavy duty clutch fitted (not sure on brand etc) and ive been driving it with this clutch for like 6+ months now and its always had heaps of compression and its been relativley hard to push in (well nto hard but not all soft and sloppy) this afternoon i hopped in my car and noticed straight away that my clutch is all soft and has ALOT of freeplay in it... i mean almost to the floor just a few inches off the floor then it gets hard again at the grabbing point... just wondering if its meant to do this over time it "beds" in or something or do i honestly have something gone wrong?? clutch fluid is all good no problems there.. cheers

i have a 25gt n/a 34 and im only on my p's and justcar charges me $2,000 for full comprehensive... justcar is giong to be ur best choice man
-
i'd consider it.. but im in brisbane its exactly what im looking for aswell... uh oh lol
-
yeah as i said mad082 you have to completley wipe the GTT ecu, and start from scratch... costs alot more in tuning money on the dyno... probably not worth it.
-
Nistune doesnt work with a stock NON TURBO ECU.. on the r34's as ive been trying to get one for a while now on my R34... u need to get the GTT re-flash it then load nistune board then re-flash it and start again - alot of time on dyno + money - Apexi PowerFC, HKS FCON, Haltech just as some examples are good Standalone systems you could get... if ur going to set up for a big turbo setup then dont go cheap on older ECU's as it wil just have to be more money spent after turbo'ing the car.. I myself am looking for a GTT ecu to do Nistune on mine....
-
bro mine does the same at about 5,500 revs it really really takes off but anything below especially 4000rpm range is very sluggish.. i recently changeed to splitfires, got a 100k service etc new timing belt and it sounds like air gushing out really fast in high revs... like im losing compression somewhere it's really annoying aye? but i got mine converted from an auto - manual and am still on the auto ecu... so i dunno if thats my prob or not :S
-
cool? righto.. lol
-
dont go any higher than a 2.5" or ur losing to much backpressure on ur non turbo.. dont go any lower than 2.25" get a hi flo cat, 2.5 or 2.25" (mild steel if u want it to be louder or stainless steel if u want it to be shiny and last longer) into a mandrel bend with a good muffler (dont go cheap on mufflers or you will regret it..) and then a tip if u want... but i'd keep the tip loooking as stock as possilbe some nice twin tips out the back looks not to bad cannons r just gross now... my 2c goodluck

yes they are heaps different unfortunatley -
wow thank you tahts a great write up you jus provided!!! when you say 100shot would need mods what kind of mods is my friend looking at? you said fuel upgrades (what would they be etc) cause the kit he was looking at was a 100shot.. and the shop said his skyline would run a 75-100 shot easily.. cheers again for tha info man!

let me kno how it goes please also some pics? mine are damaged and am looking for some aswell cheers

also took the car for a spin to pick up a friend like 5 mins away from me and in corelation to that air noise i spoke about.. when teh radio isnt on and i can really listen the noise that i described as air gushing out somewhere is really noticeable. sounds like a vacuum!! it sounds like its coming straight out from the drivers side vent (but its obviously not) as ive opened and closed teh vent etc and the noise is stil the same opened or closed.. i got a mate to listen from underneath cause the sound is only under acceleration and cant hear anything underneath...?

i mean that like i'll be trying to floor it and the car will be screamin its guts off prety much soundin like its goin real fast but the revs arent climbing high at all.. like its not at the point where it goes like a snail its just ive been in a lot of skyline non turbo's and ive never seen one climb this slow... but no i dont mean just sittin there and reving it i mean whilst moving. and yes i am using the auto ecu after i converted it.. also in relation to my first question would a resonator help me wit that buzzing noise?? cheers for the response mate!
-
hey guys just got a hi-flow cat in my R34 (my piping is standard but it does have a cannon on the back) and now my car sounds like it has a freakin bee buzzin around in the exhaust i hear that i should get a 8" cross flow resonator or somthing like that? would this part fix my buzzing problem! it really really really sounds disgusting my car now also instead of making two threads ill ask another question here.. i just got my R34 converted from a tiptronic to a manual and im pretty unimpressed main reason being my revs take forever to climb like i mean seriously forever.. my fathers mazda 3's revs climb pretty much at the same pace... i know cause its an n/a bla bla bla but this is seriously slower than average, my question is how do i get em to go up faster (with mods) i can hear air gushing (almost as if theres a hole somewhere) right above my drivers seat and no its not from my vents could this be my problem?? also would extractors help a little bit in the response? cheers
-
yeah i got the same stuff for a decent price cheaper just so everyone knows there are more options out there with this product and this isnt the cheapest... goodluck
-
it has the normal P R N D 3 2 pattern... whilst in drive u can flick the gear knob over to the left hand side into a different slot and u push the knob downward to go up a gear and upwards to go down a gear ( i think.. i have a manual R34 skyline may be the other way round but im pretty sure thats right ) and no its only the V35 and R34 skylines that have the tiptronic mode in the autos.. all others (31, 32, 33 etc models) have the normal gear shifter as any other auto car has...

check ur coilpacks and plugs maybe? -
oh ok haha cheers!! and i was under the impression that usually things go breaking if the user doesnt understand when/how to use the NOS properly... as in kicking it in to early in the rev range and then taking it all the way to redline and beyond will obviously be stupid and harmful... but i thought if you did it say 4000rpm for a few seconds to say 6000rpm (just for arguments sake) i thought this wouldnt be so harmful?
