Morning Paul, Shaun,Aidwin,Lauren and Adrian.. sorry trying to do a bit of surfin and chat at the same time. about the only multi tasking i can do properly these days is drink beer and watch telly.

nah i pulled the console partially off to have a look, but i'll do it again tomorrow. I'd hate to drop the box and find a lippie or lighter stuck under the stick somewhere.

Sorry Ken.. i didn't see the question. No the stick goes into all forward gears perfectly.. all equi-distant. feels like a brand new box.can't tell anything is wrong until trying to select reverse...then it only seems to go about1/2 the usual travel and then as i disengage the clutch, she jumps out.

Psiker.. as a half cut there's only about 500 bucks diff.. vr4 galant 2500, mivec 2000.. add another thou or two for labour and you should be somewhere close.

Psiker.. a bloke around the corner from me has a vr4 motor in his lancer 2 door, came with front mount and all, really hauls arse.. much better that something thats all rev and no go.

Ken, it's a sr20det silvia.. jumps out of reverse, feels like it's not fully selecting it. All other gears feel perfect. Only done 70thou k's.

Micko, cheers for the tickets on Sunday- was good fun. Paul, thanks for bringin the beers, but a couple more wouldn't of hurt.. Ken, anyone you suggest to have a look at a gearbox problem..?
