  1. Here is a link to the page where you can find the Technical Regulations: http://targa.com.au/tc/page_standard.asp?asset_id=1761 It's the first document, clearly labelled. We have a few people keen already, it looks to be an extremely fun event!
  2. Hey everyone So we all know that tarmac rally is INCREDIBLY fun, but sometimes not so easy on the budget... SO... We will be running our very first Rookie Rallye at Supaloc Targa Adelaide in August this year! The entry fees for the full competition usually range between $4,490 and $5,190 for the Wednesday evening, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For those who have not competed at a Targa Adelaide event so far (in either '11 or '12), assuming that your vehicle meets the technical requirements, you are eligible for the Rookie Rallye. This means you get to race on the Wednesday evening at the Showgrounds plus all day Thursday and Friday for just $2,490! A $500 deposit is all that is required when you enter and you have 6 months (until the August event) to come up with the remainder. Come and be a part of this incredible event! Contact me for more details at [email protected] or comment on this thread. Bec
  3. Option DVD issue 55 now out which has this comp on it!!!
  4. Aw - thanks guys!
  5. Open to reasonable offers guys, I need this car gone ASAP... A beautifully built, serious GTR! Pics and info can be found at Carsales ad: http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...0&silo=1011
  6. Thanks for all your responses guys (well most of you )... I am definitely selling the GTR (boo I know) to get something cheaper so I can save/buy a house etc. I can always get another GTR down the line Oh, spotter's fee to anyone who finds someone to buy it too But yeah, Evo probably at the top of the list right now... I'm still trying to convince myself that I NEED another car ha ha ha
  7. Mostly to be used on weekends, something that'll be fun to drive up through the hills in, something reasonably modern (newer than 04-ish), may do a couple more hillclimbs/track days etc... Something I can spend money on here and there, mild mods, wheels etc... But not pour cash into, otherwise I'd just keep going with the R And not overly keen on FWD.
  8. Prius' = joke. They actually use more fuel when driving anywhere other than city 50 zones than the new V8 M3... And when they are written off or wrecked because they're majority battery, they are terrible for the environment, AND they create ridiculous amounts of pollution when they're built. People who buy them for environmental reasons haven't done their research. People who buy them to make a statement are a joke and clearly have horrible taste. Haha There's a thought... M3... Hehe
  9. I appreciate rotors, but don't think I'd buy one. Good looking car, but! Prius? "If you put your arm out the window the vehicle will turn!" hahaha JZX100s are wicked cars, but probably a bit big for me... Plus I want something a bit newer And I had a current shape MX5 already (before GTR) Wicked car!!!
  10. Hey guys, I'm contemplating whether or not to even get another car of my own (I have a work car so it's more of a want not a need!)... But if I do, I've been thinking something along the lines of an Evo 9 or something like that. R32 Golfs are around the same money, but I'm not a massive hatchback fan... What else would people suggest that would be in the same price range? Just looking to broaden my horizons as I could have missed something (I am blonde after all) Cheers all! Bec
  11. What does that even mean?! LOL
  12. PRICE DROP 55k
  13. Ok seriously, this thing is just sitting in my driveway looking sexy as... SOMEONE has gotta want to wake up to it!
  14. I'll think you'll find it's already chopped buddy
  15. Hmm, ok, wasn't trying to get anyone in trouble! Sorry! Spotted black 33 heading towards McLaren Vale yesterday, I was heading back the other way in the GTR after Classic Adelaide lunchbreak... I waved!
  16. Spotted Kahli getting a little tail-happy onto West Tce in red 33 whilst in swift pursuit hehehe
  17. Sure hun but will have to put it up Mon It's on my work comp And lol @ cry... Haven't tried that one! Normally just try the "smile innocently and sweetly and act like you're not doing anything suspicious" approach hahaha
  18. Hahahahaha I'm waaaaaaaaaaay behind the times then. Here I was thinking I'd found something new and exciting Feel free to delete!!!
  19. Hehe it's so tempting to just drive it everywhere! But I'm scared to cos it's hardly the most inconspicuous car in the world
  20. 'Keep The Dream Alive' = amazing. Actually gives me goosebumps!!!
  21. Total 1 for Lindo and 1 for me Hehe thanks chick
  22. I was lucky enough to sit in the cockpit of that thing before we left for the competition stages yesterday morning... Incredible... That thing makes 326kW at all fours Apparently a 35 GTR went off this morning though, hope it wasn't that one, but either way, hope all are ok and that the car isn't too badly damaged!!!
  23. Being a part of this race, we all sign a waiver prior to the event that says we are aware of the dangers involved. A very sad day. The driver had done about 80 tarmac rallies, so he was an experienced driver in a fully set up car, so it should make us ALL stop and think next time we are thrashing. Yesterday had no major incidents which was great. The Z4 got a bit taily on Willunga Hill in the wet though! We had a blast Today 4 offs already, the first one a 35 GTR from what I have heard... That's all I know so far, I hope everyone and their cars are ok.
