  1. Thanks for that. I'm looking at buying a Skyline, and it was the 100kW power that's putting me off, considering my Mums Verada makes 161kW...
  2. Hey all, first of all I did search for this, but I got mixed results. How much power does the N/A RB25 make stock standard in a r33 or r34? From what I understand, I've heard things from 90kW all the way to 150kW... I'm guessing its around 120kW? Cheers, Jimbo
  3. Nice car man, if only you posted this in 6 months time when I have the money. Looks great, good luck with the sale man.
  4. I think we've come to the conclusion that taking the turbo out of an r33 simply isn't worth it. As per the first few posts in this thread, I would take their advise, sell you current r33 and buy a N/A car.
  5. Thanks. Yeah, 12k would really be my max, but hey, it's worth a shot I guess! It's still a good 6 months off, so I'll be in contact with one of you guys in 6 months time! glad the Import duty is going from 10% to 5%... Cheers
  6. So do you think it's a good idea to try and import myself? Either way I like the idea of having a broker From you experience, and todays prices from Japan, do you think what I'm after is achievable PRIMO, Blipman & Iron Chef Imports? Thanks for you help
  7. Okay, so if I were to Import a car, weather it be through a broker or just trying to do it myself, I can only import the 2.5L cars. Tradecarview.com has always seemed a bit funny, but then again they have at least 100,000 cars on that website. Where do you advise I look then? I would want the car to preferably be manual, Skylines? Auto Transmission? I wonder what Nissan were thinking.... I think this might be achievable, even if the car has done 140,000Km's+ Thanks again
  8. I was thinking along the lines of these... http://www.tradecarview.com/used_car/japan...kyline/1084764/ http://www.tradecarview.com/used_car/japan...skyline/903141/ http://www.tradecarview.com/used_car/japan...ne+coupe/86580/ Most of these cars look pretty stock, and realistically, my budget is 12k, that is 12k to do everything except insurance. Am I dreaming? or is this achievable? Cheers
  9. Thanks for you help guys, As I've mentioned before, the r34 Coupe is a car I would love to own. I read these forums everyday, but I just don't post that much. I'll be a P-Plater here in Vic, so turbo won't be an option anyway! I could buy something else, but i know I'll just end up kicking myself later. I think I'll end up importing a car, it's just the risks I'm worried about... Thanks again, Jimbo
  10. Hey guys, I know you probably get this alot, but here goes... My dream car is an r34 Skyline Coupe, and from what I've heard, whatever the FOB price is, you basically double that, and after a few headaches or two the car is registered in AUS. What are you experiences? So lets say i have $12,000 to spend on a coupe. Is it worth it? Thanks
  11. Why do you have a boost gauge if the car is N/A?
  12. Just post it in this thread - You'll probably have a better chance of selling anyway..
  13. Man, sorry to hear. I just died a bit inside when you mentioned the scratches on your cars, and for him to come back and scratch your cars again, that's very low. Hope it all works out. Jimbo
  14. Car: R34 4dr, N/A sedan Hey, was idling at a red light waiting to make a right turn, then when i took off there was a sudden loss of power, and both the oil light and some transmission light came on. The car has no mods, it's untouched + There was lots of fuel left. At the moment the car is driving fine, and I've always used good petrol (both 95octane and 98). Any reason why this would happen? Any reason to get rid of the engine lights? Cheers
  15. Then what's the exemption for then?
  16. Hey guys, I haven't posted here much, so be nice . I read this forum quite alot, and I know you guys see alot of Turbo's vs. Cops threads. Just out of curiousity, and no, I'm not looking at buying a turbo for moar power, I'm simply interested because Skylines (r32, r33 and even r34's) are going less than the N/A cars, purley because as being on your P's (in Victoria) you're limited to no V8's, Super or Turbochargers, so the N/A's cars, in theory, hold some value. I was interested in applying for an exemption, and I was told that if the car was purchased in your parents name, Mother or Father, and it was insured through their name (obviously you as a nominated driver), you could drive a turbo if they accepted your case. Is this true? Thoughts? Insurance? Pro's + Cons? Thanks!
  17. Nice car man, gl with the sale.
  18. Hold down the on button for a good 10 seconds, until the PS3 beeps again. This will reset the Picture to 560i - then you can change the settings in the display menu. I work at acegamestore and we get this all the time.
  19. Hey guys, first post. I've decided to make an r34 convertible! From To...
