R34 is apparently 8xT5 LED's (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Dash-Light-Leds-many-Col-t158385.html) get your LED's from 666DAN or search on ebay for T5 LEDs normally you don't change the lights that display hicas,ABS,Airbag, handbrake etc... just the main cluster globes for the gauges (RPM, Speed, Fuel, Oil)

Beautiful example of an R31 free bump. -
If you feel that the engine bay or the car itself has been bogged in some areas simply get a magnet and see if it sticks to the chassis if it doesn't that area has been bogged if it does that means the rust has just been sprayed over without being treated etc...

Have you tried asking the previous owner or dealership what it is? they might know just a thought you probably have already tried that : P

Good Pickup guys i have read a few threads and this guy seems to be very unreliable and untrustworthy he has a bad history on the Supraforums i wouldn't buy anything off him.

There are a lot of things you need to look out for personally i would get the car checked out by RACV or your local mechanic its worth the money they will give you a run down on what's wrong with the car and what needs to be done RWC etc... to me it seems suss NA's normally go for 7-11k depending on there condition, buyer etc... It seems to me like it was an auto converted to a Manual like Kris stated. It could have also been a GTST with the turbo removed hense the 5 studs. I would get the vehicle VIN Number, Rego (if any), Engine number and get a history check done even ring up Queensland transport and they should be able to tell you if its had any registered accidents, if the vin / engine match etc... its best to do your research or you might buy a lemon and it will cost you more than waiting for the right NA to pop up i waited 9 months to find the right car and did a mechanic check on 7 cars in the process. Id also take into consideration the cost of Insurance it's not cheap for P-Platers especially when you drive an Import.

Nice to see them getting out there in the media but i think its quite unnecessary to have cops hanging around on every cruise takes away any fun and by fun i don't mean burnouts and drag races, i mean just knowing that your not being watched every second of the way, it makes you concentrate about not making mistakes in fear of getting caught by cops instead of enjoying yourself. I definitely think that Tom Painter stated some good facts and police should ease up and target individuals instead of cars makes.

Hid's On Standard Headlights Quick Question
DarkRyda replied to DarkRyda's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I will be getting my HID's off NYTSKY (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Slim-Hid-Kit-Group-Buy-t291349.html) i will install / test them with a few mates to try and reduce glare as much as possible (angle them down etc...) the main focus of this thread was to answer two main questions, the first was how many of you are using HID's without proper headlights and that was sufficiently answered, the second was my query about Bi-Xenon HID's and that was also answered. I understand that my headlights will not be perfect and they at times might become somewhat disruptive to other drivers but all i really want is a decent light output thus the decision to go for 6000k HID's because i have tried many halogen globes 5000k and below and to me they all seem to fail at what i'm trying to achieve. Thanks to everyone who answered my questions : ) you where all extremely helpful and supportive!! -

Hid's On Standard Headlights Quick Question
DarkRyda replied to DarkRyda's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I thought so previous posts are talking as if the normal globes are just as good as HID's they simply aren't : ( have you had any troubles with other road users ? or do you have projectors fitted? also what Kelvin temp did you select. -
I have a Series 2 Spoiler on my S1 they do fit perfectly : )!

Hid's On Standard Headlights Quick Question
DarkRyda replied to DarkRyda's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
There's no point in switching to Blue Visions because they have the exact same output as my current bulbs 4000k i have Crystal Vision Ultra's (only sold in the US) the Australian version of the Crystal Visions are 4300k anyway i don't think switching to another halogen bulb will make a difference, my current ones don't look ricey at all there a soft white. -
Hid's On Standard Headlights Quick Question
DarkRyda replied to DarkRyda's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Thanks for the input buddy my headlights are using Phillips Crystal Vision Ultra's atm but they just aren't doing it for me i am not looking to upgrade my headlights to HID for the look or just to add another mod to my car its mainly for distance/vision/visibility reasons hence the choice of 6000k HID's. -
Hey guys sorry if this question has been asked before i have been doing some research on HID's iv been wanting to get Bi-Xenons (Hi/Low Beam) installed on my Skyline but my headlights don't contain any type of projectors or reflectors they are just standard S1 R33 headlights. My question is how many of you are running HID's on your Skyline without Projectors / Reflectors ? etc... and have you had any problems with oncoming traffic (other road users) flashing there lights at you or Cops (defects). I was looking at getting 6000k but a lot of people on this and other forums say that without proper headlights the HID's create glare into oncoming traffic which makes them Illegal to have installed. Cheers guys any help on the issue is appreciated if this question has been answered directly before link me to the thread i have tried searching but i don't believe it has been asked before. Edit: i have also read about retrofitting projectors it seems like a decent size job to do but i am not really that committed to getting HID's if that's the only option i have.

LMAO one of the best comments iv read love it -
The above comments answered your question perfectly i just wanted to add that if you get caught especially in Melbourne around certain areas there are a few cops around that will go to every extent to give you a hard time weather you where acting stupid on the road or not they will pull you over because your driving an import especially being on your P's im talking about multiple defects / fines i guess some cops have a grudge against the cars we drive. Its best to store the car and drive something else until your off your P's.
