hey a i got series 1 skyline and im in a bit of a rebuilding process. have put in new cams, pistons, headgasket. now i want to replace the turbo. i got the standard one but i was wanting to bump up the power a bit. are the r33 gtr turbos the same as gtst or what model are they. would u recommend a better garrett. im not looking for huge power just want a nice 250-300 rwkw. can any1 help me. thanks. also any more tips on refreshing the motor?

simple. save yourself money. get coppers. they last just as much as iridiums and better spark actually. trust me i know

nah i fixed the problem. it was the coilpack got burnt. replaced it. too easy. thanks guys

oh ok well ill have to check the coilpack. hopefully the short circuit hasnt done much damage

so if the coilpack has shorted. the igniter can still be alright? what exaclt does the igniter do? start the car?

yeah it smelt like burnt wire thats bout it. i didnt drive it much just took it out of the workshop and drove it back. the car was vibrating heaps. i dont really think its the coils because before the new spark plugs they were still good. the exhaust sound sounded like there were little gaps that it stopped type of thing it wasnt like a free flow kind of sound. hope this helps. one of my mates thinks its the igniter because i didnt drive it heaps. o you reckon it couldve f**ked up that shorted coil too? and what bout the spark plug

seriously guys. $500 splits? u serious? what a waste.... u can get a decent pair of slits for 250 mark and they just as good. the use of 500 splits is for spl competitons and you want the speakers to keep up with the bass or go deaf really. i got a set of pioneer splits in my car and they sound beautiful. im a pioneer person all round especially the headunits because u can adjust many things on it but thats just me. my system is pioneer dvd unit splits and rear 2 way 6x9s. mtx mono and option audio 4 channel. Also i would consider jaycar. i got a jaycar sub and it pumps hard. will beat some brand subs out there. might sound dodgy but their precision response stuff is wicked good stuff. think about it mate. dont blow your money on brand. and also its only a good system if its a good install. thats my 2c

today i was replacing my spark plugs and one of coilpack plastics plug broke leaving the pins bare. i connected it all back up and put something to split them apart. anyways some how i think the broken plug shorted out and my car didnt idle right and it stunk bad. i smelt the igniter and it seems the smell is coming from there. i was wanting to know what is the worst case scenario other than replacing the igniter could happen? really need some help here. freking out

today i had a look at my engine and i noticed a hose was split from the throttle body to some black thing can someone tell me what this is and also the silver thing below it thanks. also with that hose just get it replaced hey? also some blue kinda stuff was on my engine cover? is this aircon or what is it? please help!

when i run 10psi its alrite but when i pump it up to 11.8psi it starts to missfire. this might sound stupid but how do you get the gap from 1.1 to 0.8?

My skyline yesterday decided to spaz out and start to miss fire around the 5k-7k rpm range. I just had new plugs put in so i dont think that is the the problem. can anyone help me out. i the car is a 94 model and its just done 100000kms. could it be old fuel injectors or what could be the issue here. please help me!!

the good is u can rev it higher and it wont burn out like a standard clutch!

dnt get a cheap 2din from ebay.they fail and dnt tend to last long.get a pioneer or alpine. worth your money
