  1. Hey Steve-o, I'm entered as one of Norm Cs' four. Joel
  2. Texi time...excellent! Car is (more or less) ready to go. Looking to improve on last time and form a close working relationship with handbrake and first gear. Bringing little Bro in super standard auto carolla wagon...he may or may not remove baby seat, UBD collection and 50 x hair metal Cds to improve handling AND speed. At least he'll have a/c. Can't wait. Joel SMH weather says rain...
  3. Hey Y'all, Thjought i'd follow the prompt and introduce myself...I'm Joel. There you go. No Skyline...but two friends in the club, and need to hang with hoons to justify my wheels etc. I joined the club to attend the last Texi. Had a total hoot and have been going over my lines every since...gonna try and give the dudes from canberra a run for their money. Later J-bag
  4. Hey Dude, I'm a bit of a novice with the whole which one is which thing, but at the motorkahna i was just at on sat my favourit cars were a pair of gtst's with r32 bits on em...went great, looked understated. They were they ones I'dve taken home
  5. now that I think about it the fastest (looking) guys were: a pair of gts-t's and a n/a MX-5. And there were some pretty flash r32s there...but it aint about power, apparently.
  6. in fact I reckon i'd have been quicker in my wifes honda jazz (1.5ltrs on one speed gearbox fury) till i got the hang of it.
  7. Me too, but I'm just a ringin who went along to saunsw texikharna and loved it...make sure you go to on next chance you get (even if you have to nick your mums carolla and drive that, you'll still be quick enough) J
  8. Sooo much fun! Thanks to all for the hard work setting up and running the day..excellent job. The only problem was it took too long to work out how to drive... with all the excitement/anticipation/adrenaline i completley forgot everything I ever knew (or at least, suspected) about important car controlly facts, like: - understeer can't be cured with more throttle. - car won't turn in while accelerating in 1st/2nd. - foot off gas equals weight transfer onto front equals car go where fronts pointing. - you can't do tight stuff without a handbrake. (actually I never new this one, but i got it now. My handbrakes a bit tired and rolly, mind) just gotta work this stuff out the night BEFORE, not the night after. J.
