  1. I think all Nissan Dualis (2007-2010) that come to Australia have the same engine which is 2.0-litre four cylinder engine (petrol only), and it makes 102kW at 5,200rpm and 198Nm of torque at 4400rpm. In UK, they are sold as Nissan Qashqai and they have choices in engines (1.6L petrol, 2.0L petrol, 1.5L diesel, 2.0L diesel). Yes, it is very underpowered for small SUV. It was a suitable choice for me as I don't want another large fuel consumption car for daily drive. For the wheels, I am thinking either 20 inch or 21 inch as Dualis is not as big as Nissan Murano which is ok for 22 inch plus. I would like to know what offsets and width that would be perfect for the Dualis.
  2. Hey Paul. Yeah, I am keeping my fingers crossed for his V.
  3. I haven't really compare Dualis's fuel consumption to other cars. All I know at the moment is it is better than out-going models (8.2ltr/100kms). But from what I read on reports online, they do about 8.6ltr/100kms in a manual. So mine should be around that, as I got the 2WD, not AWD model which is rated more in fuel consumption. I will post up after I drive around and see the outcome.
  4. Hi mate, sorry I couldn't make it. Looks like a good turn out and hope everything went well.
  5. Hi Terry, I compared it to older models of Nissan Dualis, prior to 2010 models. Prior models got 352 litres of cargo capacity compare to 2010's 410 litres, with back seats up. Interior wise, it's just a little bit spacier. Exterior wise, it's a lot better looking with different headlights, grille, etc.
  6. Yeah, they are small. But 2010 model is bigger than the older ones. I am sure you can fit a normal single pram in there (We bought the car with that in mind too).
  7. Hi everyone, I have just bought a brand new 2010 Nissan Dualis Ti last week for a practical daily car. Specifications: Engine: 2.0 litre, four cylinder Power: 102kW @ 5200rpm Torque: 198Nm @ 4400rpm Induction: Naturally aspirated, multi-point injection Transmission: CVT 6 speed automatic Driven Wheels: Front Brakes: Vented disc front, solid disc rear Top Speed: Not available 0-100km/h: 10.5 seconds CO2 Emissions: 192g/km Fuel Consumption: (ADR) 8.1 litres/100km Fuel Tank Capacity: 65 litres Fuel Type: 91RON ANCAP Rating: Five stars Airbags: Six Safety: ABS, EBD, BA, TC, ESC Spare Wheel: Full size steel Suspension: MacPherson strut front, Independent multi-link rear Cargo Capacity: 410 litres Tow Capacity: 685 unbraked, 1400kg braked Turning Circle: 10.6m Warranty: 3 years/100,000km (With additional 3 years warranty package + X-Pack protection package) Weight: 1450kg Wheels: 18-inch alloy – 215/55R18 Plans for it are bigger wheels (21inch and above) and a bodykit/lipkit (Aftermarket or custom-made). If there is anyone on SAU that has experience in modifying this type of cars, please share some thoughts as I have no idea yet on perfect rims size (Offsets) or bodykit types if there's any out there. Thanks in advance. Will post up photos after I get it in early December. Victor.T
  8. Nice. Well, congrats on your new purchase. I like Nissan Murano too (Prior to 2010), but Mrs liked the new 2010 Nissan Dualis Ti that we test drove. So we bought that one for daily instead.

  11. You are welcome, Dean. With the V36 chrome boot lip, I am pretty sure you won't be able to put it straight on the V35 coupe or sedan as the boot shape is different (Unless you modify it to fit). I suggest, have a look around first and do research before rushing into buying all sorts of things. That way you don't spend money on things you can't use or don't like after a while. Also, keep an eye on "For Sale" section on SAU and you can grab a good bargain sometimes. By the way, are you getting the coupe or sedan? Which state are you from? Any questions, post them up as there are lots of experienced owners on SAU that can help. Good luck.
  12. Hi Kurt, Yeah, me and Richard both took holidays in November. I just finished mine last week. With the cruise, sure you can meet us at one of the meet point. Can you please pm me your phone number so I can let you know the meet points as soon as the map is sorted out? The number could be lower until we get replys from the VQ-series owners. 1 of my new friend with V35 coupe also misses out because of his holiday, but should be fine with a few others as it is on the weekends before Christmas. Let's hope we get more replys in the coming weeks. Anyway, thanks for the reply Kurt. Looking forward to seeing you again.
  13. Hi Joe, May I suggest Evo 6 or 6.5? I have been in a friend's Evo 6...and they are very good cars in your price range (Maybe a little bit more). The look isn't that bad either. I used to hate them as they look like dressed-up Lancer, but performance wise, they are totally different cars. Good luck.

    V35 Vs R35

Sorry for reviving an old thread. g35me, I just want to say I admire you from changing V35 for a R35 GTR (and not go and buy Evo, STI or Clubsport). I would love to be in your position one day. Anyhow, I also want to know how you feel about R35 GTR compare to V35 (If there are comparable parts ). I wish you luck selling your V35 and hope you enjoyed it.
  15. Spotted silver R35 GTR at the lights of Park Centre Shopping Centre (WA) at 9:40pm on Wednesday (24-11-10). I was in my white V35 coupe at the lights going the opposite direction.
  16. Hi mate, Have a read in this tread. (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sk...gt-t337367.html). I am sure a 250GT will have a lower fuel consumption rate than a 300GT and 350GT. Anyhow, although being an import, maintainence and parts are not a big problem as they share alot of parts with 350Z. As long as you go to a reputable import shop for maintainence, you should be fine. You just have to keep in mind that GT-8 (8 speed paddle shift) models are abit troublesome. If you break it, it's about $3000-$4500 to fix. The V35 are a good car to drive. I have a 2004 V35 coupe auto (350GT) and it's a smooth ride. Plus it's a rearer import so it turns heads too. Good luck with your choice.
  17. Wait a minute, this is actually a V35 spotted thread. Maybe change the tread name to (The V-Series Spotted Thread)? Oh well, it's still a V-series.
  18. Spotted black V36 coupe coming out of Park Centre Shopping Centre parking (WA) at 8:10pm on Wednesday (24-11-10). I was in my white V35 coupe at the lights going the opposite direction.
  19. Hi Dean, That chrome boot lip is only available for a V36 (I think it's an optional thing from Japan). For V35 coupe, there are a few options (INGS, IMPUL, VERTEX, etc.) or like in this one (Photo of red V35 coupe rear view). (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Re...;hl=rear+bumper). Steve (CRISP 35) will know more about that moulded boot lip.
  20. Wow, there's someone that did it already. Although you can't really tell if it looks nice or not without side view, at least we know it can be done.
  21. I think I have read on G35 forum that they talked about changing the fronts of V35 to V36. I also want to know how it will look like.
  22. Tom, Kurt's car is a white V35 coupe in the photo. Also, you can check out WA VQ-series cruise no.5 for photos. (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Wa...d5-t340588.html) I can definitely say his coupe looks hot with aftermarket springs and lowered.
  23. Haha, nice. Going to India as well? I love Biryani . Ok, have a great time in Singapore and India, Tarun. See you when you get back. Good luck with your exams as well.
  24. Well done. David. There's not alot of V36 owners on SAU yet as it still a new car. Problems and solutions like this will help in the future.
  25. Hey Tarun, that's ok. I also thought alot of people might go on holiday around Christmas. How long you be away? Richard (xtc) is away on holiday at the moment untill the end of November. So we will see how many can come along on 19th of December. If not alot, we will move the date to January or February. Thanks for letting us know, Tarun. Enjoy your stay in Singapore.
