  1. Sure, Paul. Let's hope it's another good turn out this time.
  2. Easy mate. I would get the number plate and call the cops. I mean, that's what they are for, right?
  3. Hi everyone, There's a WA VQ-series cruise No.6 happening next month. Please post if interested. It will be good to meet new and old people.
  4. Hi everyone, VQ-series cruise no.6 will be organised in December. Just for the record of VQ-series cruises, there have been 5 cruises so far and their information can be found on relevent threads. Official WA VQ-Series Cruise No.6 This event will go ahead ONLY if: 1. There's 5 or more V-series Nissan Skyline able to participate. 2. There's a safe and secure car park, whenever possible. 3. As to make this cruise as much safe and enjoyable as we can, we will try to organise it on a sunny and beautiful day. We are looking at doing this regularly, or whenever possible. Cruise Information Date: 19-12-10 (Sunday) Time: 1:00pm Meet, 1:30pm Depart - 4:30pm Place: Powis Street car park (5-10 minutes drive from Citywest car park, Drive onto Mitchell FWY and off at Powis Street exist on the left, Turn left onto Powis street and first left entry into Powis street car park) Please post if interested and check this tread for updates. 5. Spotted silver V35 coupe at Westfield Carousel Shopping Centre (WA) at 6:30pm on Tuesday (23-11-10). I was driving my Mrs's Mitsubishi Mirage at the front.
  6. Guys, it's not just Skylines that grabbing all the wrong attentions. Silvias, Commodores, etc. do too. There's literally no stopping of cops giving extra attention to car enthusiastics (Performance cars, Show cars) like us, no matter how many knobheads drivers out there. My thought is just to invite or organise a cruise/meet with more people that you know or close friends of friends, and less random. For when random owners show up, get to know them. You will know if they are knobheads or not pretty much after one cruise/meet. If they are, give a warning as an organiser or don't allow that driver for next cruises.
  7. I don't know about V36. But with my V35 when the window motor was stuffed, the window winds down if I slam the door shut really hard with the key in ignition. I also think the window winding down is nothing to do with low battery (Maybe battery not connected properly?) My thoughts are: (1). Check the alarm system in the key if it's working properly. (2). If you can hear any odd sound when the window winds down, check the window motor. Let us know how it goes, mate. Good luck.
  8. Yeah, that's true, Mark. Prices (cars and servicing) have gone down compare to a year ago. Like Steve (CRISP 35) said, Nick is a great guy and treat customers really well.
  9. Yeah sure, Edi. Here is their contact. You can also ask for Nick and say you know me (Victor) from SAU, and see if they can accelerate the process. Good luck. 10. Are you from Perth? If so, my dealer, Fabcar, might be able to help you out. Or you can try some import/Jap wreck yards? Good luck.
  11. I think his is 2003-2004, not the new one. But yeah, freaking quick.
  12. Sorry, I meant forged pistons, injectors, etc., and yes, it was an auto XR6T.
  13. I wouldn't know anything about R34s and Falcons. But my friend's Falcon was modified, has forged injectors, exhaust, blowoff valve, etc. and he used to take it to the Barbagallo on every Wednesday nights. That's probably why his is alot faster than stock R34 manual coupe.
  14. Hey Kuek, Yeah, I saw you talking with him inside. Steve left 5 minutes before you got there and I just stayed on with a few new V35 owners. That white V35 coupe owner with black T1s was one of the guy at the table too, and I will call them along for our next event. There were four white coupes there last night + your V....it almost looked like an unofficial V35 outing.
  15. Sorry if this post seems out of place in this thread, but does anyone know the differences between XR6 sedan and ute in terms of weight, drag coefficients, performances, etc. with the same spec? i.e 4L straight 6, 4 speed automatic, etc. The reason I asked is I've been in a friend's stock R34 manual GT-T coupe while cruising with another friend's modified auto XR6 sedan. They are both good drivers. On the free way, they gave it abit go. XR6 auto won, hands down.
  16. Hi guys, Just dropping by to say I will, at least, drop by to say hi at the 1st meet point and meet new owners if any plans come up on that day for me or my Mrs. If not, I will cruise along with you guys. So, +1 from me. See you guys there.
  17. Spotted R3N at Makan Makan cafe (WA) at 9:40pm on Sunday (21-11-10). I was going to ask you if you want to join us, but I think you came with a friend. Me, CRISP 35 and 2 new V35 coupe owners were dining there.

  19. Agreed. 370GT (coupe or sedan) are really good-looking cars, both look and performance wise. I would still prefer 370GT coupe to 370Z.
  20. You are welcome, Mitch. Tell you the truth, I have never seen and didn't know anything about V35 before I bought it more than 2 years ago. I was after a turbo car back then, like Evo and GT-T, but I saw one at dealer, sat in it and never looked back. Now, I am even scare to lose this comfy level of driving if I decided to go for a turbo car. But yeah, V35 are still rarer than Zeds, but it's getting there. I also like the fact that it has four seats, bigger boots and also share lots of same parts as 350Z. Any question, ask away as there are many experienced V-series owners already on SAU. Good luck with it, Mitch. Please let us know how your decision go.
  21. Straight out of the box, 350Z is alot better in everything, except lack of turbo and has two seats. But if you can find a nice example of R34 GT-T coupe, mildly modded, clean and low kms, maybe it's worth a look. Or maybe you could consider V35 coupe? Good luck.
  22. Hi mate, 1. I can compare to my "stock" V35 coupe (350GT) to my friend's "stock" R34 GT-T coupe. V35 are better at everyday driving. Interior is alot nicer and newer, exterior is also more refined but lost its Skyline heritage. R34GT-T are faster and can have fun around corners and on track. 2. V35 are more laxury car. You will know this straight away after being in both cars. 3. V35 compare to 350Z...it is bigger, has 4 seats, bigger boot space and more unique. But it's slower and bad at resale than Z. V35 compare to 370Z...it's another class. Maybe comparable to V36. 4. V35 are more expensive to modify, in terms of chasing more power. To extract more power from NA engine, you will have to spend nearly twice than turbo cars. There are lots of companies now than before that supply aftermarket parts as V35/G35 are becoming more common and popular. You said "What I am sort of looking for is a fun car for the weekends that I can enjoy and not see heaps of them on the road. Which is why this came to mind." I said "V35 or R32/33/34 GTR is your choice, depending on what you want to do with it, now and in the future." Good luck.
  23. Spotted str8g near Morley Galleria (WA) at 8:15pm on Thursday (18-11-10).
  24. I believe I saw 1 white RX8 for sale in yesterday's newspaper. But best bet is trying carsales.com.au. Good luck.
  25. Good one on getting this tread started, Mike. This tread will be very useful later on after more owners share their informations and experiences.
