  1. Haha, yeah. Just another mod to do. Yes, Nick told me that I need to change brakes/discs at next service and said $500 for slotted discs (I don't know if that's for just fronts or full set). I just want to know other options.
  2. Ok, I thought they were red. Anyhow, I might also ask Fabcar to quote me a price on full set of Brembo as well, and compare the price with other products.
  3. Yeah, I am also a big Project Mu fan too (Always drowl over looking at Project Mu brakes on L8RSKY's coupe). But that's going to set me back around $5000 - $6000.
  4. Haha. Lots of love, my man. With using different discs/pads with Brembo calipers, I want to do Brembo brakes conversion on an auto V35 coupe, plus it will look good with red brake calipers & gold rims on white car. In saying that, anybody knows if there is going to be issues if I go ahead and use different discs/pads with Brembo calipers?
  5. If stock and aftermarket are just $100 - $200 different per item, I just thought of having slotted or cross drilled instead of direct replacements for a change. Good for the looks too.
  6. Right, I will pm rs73 about that and see how much it will cost me. Did you mean RDA's or DBA's? How about I use different discs/pads with Brembo calipers?
  7. Hi everyone, My brake discs and pads are getting changed in next service (96,000kms or 3 months time) and thought of changing to Brembo's or aftermarket's instead of stock ones. I just want to know how you feel about them and the price. I am looking at spending about $1000 - $1500. Any suggestions and experiences are much appreciated. Thank you.
  8. I thought King Springs lower the car by 1 - 1.5 inch. I might be wrong.
  9. I guess age doesn't matter. Idiots are still idiots.
  10. Great. At which place can you guys do? I was going to offer my place but my driveway might chew some bits off Steve's V.
  11. So far, the best coilovers I know about in decent price range would be BC racing coilovers. One of the member on here, CRISP 35, just installed his fortnight ago on his V35 coupe. The ride quality is still good to drive daily and you can get one for about $1400.
  12. Ok, nice. I didn't know you can get staggered rims on sedans.
  13. Is it lowered by springs or coilovers? If it is lowered by springs, maybe it's a good idea to get a decent coilovers too as it will be a lot easier to deal with camber.
  14. 17inch to 19inch x 9 wide, +32 offset all around with 255/35/- tyres should be near-perfect fit. Fronts should be fine, but rears might stick outside the guard by 5mm to 8mm.
  15. Ok. Well, let us know if you need help. I am on holiday next two weeks stuck at home.
  16. Personally, I haven't try drifting in my V35 coupe. But there are videos on Youtube that show V35/G35 coupes driftings, burnouts, etc. so should be fine with abit of mods. If it's for daily as well, V35 coupe is a go. If it's only for track, I think 350Z is better as it has shorter base which can help in drifting and has more aftermarket mods background. Good luck in your choice.
  17. Sorry to hear about your accident, mate. You will be amazed at how some drivers on the road behave and drive, think they own the whole street. As for us who adore our cars, we just have to be more careful and can't even take a chance. What car is yours? Some cars come with crap stock horn. My V35 coupe stock horn sucks, it's so freaking quiet.
  18. If you need to make adjustments to spring and shock, you would need to take the coilovers out again with tools we probably won't have. Looks like you might need to take it back to the shop. (Preferably Pedders Cannington if Evolution R is a problem). Also, might be a good idea to do the wheel alignment this time.
  19. Haha, yeah...I know you would say that again. I love the hatch. Can't wait to get one.
  20. Haha, yeah. Get to use the muscle. I think it's just the rear. Those two bolts at rear were a b**** to take off though.
  21. Thanks mate. I might just get a 4WD in that case first. I found these information on Subaru website. (2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI - Hatch) Cargo volume - rear seat up/down (litres) 301/742 (2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI - Sedan) Cargo volume - rear seat up/down (litres) 420/- Is it just me or the sedan cargo really is bigger compare to hatch with rear seats up? Weird.
  22. Well, even though STI hatch is not as practical as wagons, it can still take more loads than Evo's and good for vacation trip. That is still the main thing that attract me, plus turbo power.
  23. Thanks mate. I do like 2001+ Stagea but I am trying not to get anymore imports as Mrs wants good resale car.
  24. Really? Geez..I better check on that before I actually buy the car for that purpose. Thanks.
  25. In Perth from dealer, you can get a decent sedan from $35k-$49k which is cheaper than coupe. I think you save about $4k-$5k if you import it yourself, not too sure. They are really nice car, inside and out. But I don't think it is too good with resale.
