  1. Hey Andrew, thanks for the reply. Well, we shall see you next time then. If Amanda wants to bring out the V35, she is welcome. Hey Cobey, let me know which one you would decide to miss out on.
  2. Great, Sheldon. See you there. Hey Joshua. So you thinking of coming down again?
  3. Hi Shiva, Definitely we can welcome Zed owners for the cruises. We still need more confirmations for this to go ahead (6 or more). I went to Gold Coast last weekend, for abit of look around and sorted out the rough cruise map. Details are the same. Date: 15-10-2011 (Saturday) Time: 3pm, 3:30pm Depart - 5:30pm Place: Car park in front of Beenleigh Marketplace Shopping Centre (114-118 George Street, Beenleigh QLD 4207) Please post if interested. Thank you. Hi Cobey, I would like to know where that Point Danger place is, so I can look it up and check it out. Is there good and sufficient car park there too? Thanks, man.
  4. Yeah, they do look similar. I still won't buy a sport car in Hyundai though as it still has a long long way to match any Japanese competitors in performance, longevity, not much supporting aftermarket parts and resale market / value. It's a good value for money though for those who want a cheaper sport car and not wanting a Japanese sport car.
  5. Hi mate, I will see to it if the cruise can be had on 8th October (Saturday). The reason with our cruise on 15th October (Saturday) is I am sure I will get my V35 back from repairing the front lip by then. I can't book it in yet because the transport insurance company haven't got back to me, so I don't know the return date. If I can get my V35 in for repair sometime this week and know the return date, I will post it up ASAP. Hey Shiva, any reason why you want it on 8th October now? Or is 15th October is still ok?
  6. 1). Spotted a silver V35 sedan on Gold Coast Hwy near Australia Fair Shopping Centre in Gold Coast area (QLD) at 1:10pm on Sunday (18-09-2011). 2). Spotted a white V35 coupe on The Esplanade in front of Surfers Sandbar in Gold Coast area (QLD) at 5:25pm on Sunday (18-09-2011).
  7. Yeah, same with Just Car.
  8. Hey Shiva, that's fine with me. I don't know about Queenslanders here, but back in Perth, alot of my friends have late nights from clubing on Saturday nights and have hangovers until afternoon on Sunday. Ok, after we get 5 replies or so for evening (3pm - 5:30pm) of 15th October (Saturday), the cruise will be good to go. It will be south bound cruise (Maybe to Gold Coast and back) as I haven't got time to explore the north side yet. Let me know, guys. Thanks.
  9. This could be your perfect upgrade, Roy. Great quality car, wife's happy and will be keeping the V-series going! Happy wife = Happy life
  10. That's bad. I hope it doesn't get worse for the sake of my friends back in Perth. Myself lived near Gosnell surburb so was pretty scary to hear that. Regarding insurance, they might start going into which surburbs are high risk. My other car's insurance increased because my surburb in QLD was affected in that January flood.
  11. Yeah, NRMA is good in that it covers any driver. I chose Just Car mainly because of the mods and the car being an import. I covered the body kit and wheels. Maybe that jacked up the premium. I will see how it goes. Some of my friends had bad experiences and some had good experiences with Just Cars.
  12. Not sure, Nate. I didn't compare it with other insurer and I had to take my HBF insurance off when I arrived in Brisbane because they don't operate in QLD. Did you cover your mods? I've got my wife as second driver as well. Maybe that's why?
  13. Age: 27 Licence: 5 years Car: 2004 Nissan Skyline V35 350GT coupe (Auto, Non-Premium) Insurer: Just Car Insurance Policy Type: Comprehensive (Modifications Inc.) Rating: 1 Claims or Accidents, Thefts, Licence Suspension/Cancellations & Disqualifications: Nil Payment: $1705 per year Total Excess: $600
  14. Hey everyone, Regarding our QLD's VQ-series cruise, how does evening of 16th October (Sunday) sound? I will get my V35 coupe back by then from fixing my front lip cracks. Let me know and we can get this going with! Thanks.
  15. Hey Roy, So I take it that your V35 coupe will be sold after mechanical inspection go ok? I can tell you that you will miss it. For me, Evo are cars that have better use on the track because they are built mainly for that purpose. Being a four door sedan might have advantage over a coupe. But I don't think you can compare an Evo with V35 coupe. I say, go for an Evo if you want to have a car that you can take it to the track anytime you want, maybe abit more practical than V35 coupe but don't mind about the interior quality. Stay with V35 coupe (or even upgrade to V36 coupe) if you enjoy a quality cruise factor and don't mind having a coupe in your family. Good luck either way. Remember, it's you that have to drive and live with it.
  16. Thanks for reminding, Shiva. I will make sure of that. Since October is not far away now, I should get onto it quick, maybe I will post up details before next weekends. It will even be a busier month for me as I am organising a cruise for my car club I run back in Perth and helping the boys with it too. Anyhow, it will be great to see and catch up with your guys again. Hopefully more new VQ-series owners will join us then.
  17. Hey mate, did you google those photos, or found them somewhere on SAU? That's full Webersport bodykit of my friend's (xtc's) V35 coupe. I believe that front bumper is genuine from Japan and those sides are currently on my V35 coupe. I think you can get the full replica kit from Jetspeed Australia.
  18. Haha, no Sheldon. I was having lunch next to the Esplanade road.
  19. Oh really, Alex? I thought so too. Did you have a hair cut? I wasn't wearing my glasses so couldn't see afar.
  20. Oh yeah, true. Then I guess our VQ-series cruise should definitely be in last week of October or first week of November to avoid being too close to each dates. I will also definitely go to that Skyline Annual Charity Cruise if I still have the car.
  21. Hey Nelson, how's it going? I just got a question for you. You mentioned Nissan Dualis! I have one myself at the moment and thinking of putting on wheels in the future. Would you have a photo of it that I can look at?
  22. Hey guys, I've been busy with work and personal stuffs lately. I am already looking at doing a VQ-series cruise (Hopefully a big one) in 1st or 2nd week of November. I will be pretty much busy now and then before that time. Regarding the sale of my V35, no changes yet. I am fixing those 2 cracks this month and, maybe, might start doing abit of modification if I have time and cash this year. By that time, maybe I might change my mind about selling it.
  23. Spotted a silver V35 coupe, lowered on gold rims and Nismo wing, on The Esplanade in front of Surfers Sandbar in Gold Coast area (QLD) at 3:25pm on Sunday (11-09-2011).
  24. I am going out with my work folks that day.
  25. Mine didn't. It doesn't actually matter for me because once you change wheels, there's less chance the same lock nuts will be used again.
