    Yahoo Japan

I am sure the link with ebay will fall to bits due to people without money to pay for items winning them. It is the main problem I have had dealing with Australians. It is easy to spot an overseas buyer as they usually have a lot of bad feedback with cancellations. My record is clean so far but I had a number of "headaches" from SAU members who seemed to think that I was running a layby scheme under the bonnet of their cars. It is interesting that a number of auctions now specifically say "if you are foreign or can't speak Japanese don't bid"
  2. I stuk them on Yahoo so bid away if you want them http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k52133507
  3. What does handling have to do with laptimes???An understeering pig of an F1 car will beat the best handling road car, but the F1 car still has bad handling.
  4. Last negotiations fell through so they are still available.

Thankyou Beer Baron, you have restored my faith in the human race. Dubs aren't really the devil, they are either good or bad, unfortunately they are mostly bad. Done well I think they are the best way to watch anime, unless you can understand Japanese well. The thing that does impresses me though is the astounding quality of some fansubs out there! Some people put an incredible amount of effort into it.
  6. 20minutes by Shinkansen?edit: Had a think about it... do you live in an apartment with onsite parking? That is soooooo cheap!!!
  7. Item: Enkei RC5 Wheels Age: 1 week Condition: Basically perfect, some paint has rubbed off of the rear of the 18x10s Price: To Fit: (What car) Location: Osaka, Japan Contact: PM/email Comments: I bought them but I don't really think they suit my car I got some Enkei RC5 wheels for my car but I don't think they really suit it so I will probably sell them! They are brand new and have never been put on a car or anything and the size and offset will suit a 350Z, GT-R (with same size tyres) or S14 without too much trouble. I am not sure about other Skylines but I am sure there are lots of people here will know. 18x9 +15 18x10 +20 BRONZE 5x114.3 I live in Japan so I would have to send them to you via airmail Anyway $1,800 and they are yours
  8. Well closer to the date shoot me a PM and I may or may not be working at the auctions. Also I checked out where you are living! Holy Moly that is pretty far from everything! I have driven to Tottori which is fairly close to you and they had awesome mountain roads so you will be able to have fun on those!
  9. Well this year I have paid ¥500,000 in fines to Osaka's finest! The only things I have ever been pulled over for were number plate related. In one case my light wasn't working and in the other one bolt on the rear plate was wonky. Basically as long as the car has registration, shaken and you have a licence (of some sort) you are fine driving almost anything. The Japanese idea of a loud exhaust is something that you can hear from the next prefecture so anything with a muffler of any sort should be ok. BUT wherever you park make sure you don't piss off your neighbours late at night with your loud car, always put my silencer in before I get back to my suburb. Sticking out wheels and sub-terranian ride heights don't seem to worry them either. But if you drive around in a group they freak out and fine you lots of money and send the group leaders to prison If you are pulled over the police being polite and helpful seems to get you deeper in trouble, casual indifference or letting them know you are in a hurry and can't hang around for a chat works well. The most dangerous thing to ride is a 50cc scooter, it has a 30km/h speed limit which is enforced and you can't run away very easily.

    R32 Vs R35

Only if your kids have no legs!
  11. I bought both my cars off Yahoo, well sort of, I saw the auction then contacted the seller. There was lots of paperwork which my friend's wife helped me with. (The latest car had some problems because of some mistakes/assumptions I made) My car had no Shakken so I paid for that as well (I don't think the cost is different for newer cars, but I could be wrong about that). I went to the car auctions for the first time yesterday and it seems to be the best way to go. But everything costs money in Japan, the reduced hassles you get from going through a dealer may be worth the extra cost I think the most important thing is to get a car you want and that is appropriate for your purpose. I bought a modified drift car as my purpose was driving. Other people like posing or buying parts so choose the car based on that. If your goal is driving then don't buy the cleanest example you can find then spend months modifying it the way you want only to be heading back to Australia as soon as it is "finished". I have seen that a few times.

For once spammers actually did something useful! Maybe a moderator should delete that post though.

Did people actually like that movie? I couldn't get into it...I liked Samurai Champloo if anyone want to check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvqLhwYBENs Death Note was ok until it started getting overcomplicated Wangan Midnight is a bit, ummmm, well there is a magical car in it. Keroro Gunsou was amusing for the first few episodes but then took its tongue out of its cheek Ebichu is fantastic, I can't recommend it highly enough
  16. Oh yeah, GT-R down at the local Nissan dealer was nice... hard to give it much stick in small Osaka streets, but it was a bit of fun. Gotta watch that front splitter though (whoooops )
  17. I think he means an ADM CLK vs a JDM CLK...
  18. It is always politics dude! If engineers ruled the world it would be a much more awesome place!
  19. I am still really curious what that thing is... I am interested mainly because you seem really happy doing whatever it is that you do so I want in on it!
  20. Self sponsorship is always an option for those who chose to follow it in the past, but this year other companies have not been hiring for quite some time and my private students don't give me sufficient income, so unfortunately I did need Nova.If I had jumped ship sooner and was younger, blonder and femaler I guess I would have been ok.
  21. By 1990, no Australian child will be living in poverty
  22. The Nissan, the... we all know that no one who speaks German could be an evil man!
  23. LOL... oh yeah, I forgot about that 25% paycut that the AUD handed me!!!! CURSE YOU AUSTRALIANS AND YOUR VIBRANT ECONOMY!!!!
  24. Yep... much closer than I wanted to. And it was definitely the visa that kept me there, the writing had been on the wall for ages but money is cheap in Japan and an unprofitable company here is not quite the big deal it would be in Australia. Nissan is a prime example! I expected it to continue along at least until early 2008 by which time I would hopefully have moved on to greener pastures. But unfortunately the company president would not cry/bow/bribe/resign in the appropriate manner to make that happen. It was too late to get a visa from another company so I just gritted my teeth and kept up the tatemae and thanks to lots of other people doing the same thing it lasted JUST long enough. If it didn't work out I would have been back in Oz enjoying Nandos!
  25. There is the cutaway GT-R there which shows it clearly but no closeup pics online yet. I would be very interested in seeing more of the transaxle and the massive errr "nose shaft" from it!
