  1. From what I have heard of previous Winton Fun days you can get a similar effect by driving down your favorite twisty road during peak hour traffic I would save the trip for a sprint, preferably soon while the V8 Supercar rubber is still fresh! (Good for learning the racing line too )
  2. R33 GT-R's are phat, not fat
  3. It is more that the GTR, being older has done more of its depreciating. The R34 will probably never drop like the R33 GTS, but it will drop. It may sound stupid, but when faced with a 50:50 decision I will flip a coin. You just have to stick with the verdict of the first flip!
  4. Dude... they are both very fast cars. People's perspective on here is totally warped because a few people have eleventy billion rwkW cars. Unless you are into drags, dyno comps or Nullarbor top speed runs they both have more than you will ever really need. Personally I would choose the R33, mainly because of the interior room and also resale.
  5. I would prefer Melbourne or Adelaide (I am in the middle) as I can't find a PostPak big enough! Another interstate user is interested in it and unless I sell it before he saves his pennies I would prefer to just sell it locally (well within 400km)
  6. I am in Horsham in Western Victoria but I come to Melbourne most weekends (and Adelaide other weekends) Price drop+bumpage
  7. What happened? WHAT HAPPENED??? Society crushed the hopes and dreams of another young person!!!! And they wonder why people turn to drugs... *exhale*
  8. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=30386 Check out this one for sale!!!! MAke him an offer!
  9. Warning - Do not read DaiOni's post while drinking Coke!!!! Me==:Owned:
  10. You probably saw someone with a Ham Radio plate They range from VK3 AA to VK3 ZZZ...
  11. Close, but not quite... Well this is not so relevant to you but for us Victorians we just need to head for straight Section 8 (ironically the same name as that used for discharge for insanity from the US Army, the rule Klinger from MASH was trying to use to get out of Korea) VicRoads - Vehicle Standards Information - Section 8 The specific item of concern regarding wheels Well the GT-R is part of the Skyline series so I would agree that this should allow for up 9½-inches... because 10-inch wheels are 25.4mm greater than the widest wheel... Don't think they wouldn't try that on you!!! :bs!: The wheel diameter has no rule but the total tyre diameter must conform to
  12. Also a location of the seller is important. At least the state... Perhaps if that can be on a menu when you make the post or something.
  13. But yes shouldn't have whored your post. Moderator should probably clean up this mess. p.s. Is pistols at dawn ok? EDIT: Just deleted my posts... sorry. I am a bored ****
  14. I was just making a lame joke about these "hot" wheels that you had... We can meet up, but be warned I will DESTROY you *flexes* Ahahahah, seriously. You wanna fight a person from da intarnetz? OMGz... if only you were half as smart as you are belligerent!
  15. Most fixed back seats use side mounts, perhaps that is what he means. With bolting side mounts onto a bottom mount rail you get the problem of jacking the seat up.
  16. Should we really allow stolen goods to be sold on the forums?
  17. There's no replacement for displacement... Though it is interesting that I "Top Secret" (I think) were using a VQ30 crank to reduce the capacity of their turbo 350Z, also allowing it to rev to 8,000rpm rather than 6,700 or whatever the VQ35 lugs along to.
  18. What on earth does this have to do with drag or drift????
  19. Yeah, you're right, I guess if the session is long enough he will lap them
  20. Just remember it is easier to take out air out than it is to put it in! For road tyres I used to just put in the maximum pressure written on the sidewall. Then after the drive take them back down to the maximum pressure on the front and 4psi less on the rear. Which was usually 44psi front 40psi rear warm. Then I would play with them after each session depending on what the car was doing. With semi-slicks I found that lower pressures worked better, I presume because the stiffer sidewalls meant that you weren't using the air to "stiffen up" the tyres. Anyway, it worked for me, but I am not Sydneykid... *dreads his reply*
  21. I have been pulled over by unmarked policemen... I don't like them being out of uniform. p.s. Keep your Village People comments to yourselves.
  22. I used to be friends with an orderly from a hospital, he used to keep us nawwwsed up.
  23. Nah, you miss my point. Everyone who talks about the 2JZ goes on about how fanblimmintastic the stock internals are and how much power they can take and after a while it gets boring.
  24. Hmmm live and learn... I am very surprised by that... Oh well, go figure...
  25. No, not like a dyno in a wind tunnel... The load at the rollers would be increased to simulate the extra effort required to push the car through the air. You can calculate the drag of the car for a given speed and add that load to that. I guess you could simulate light wheelspin by decreasing the load, extra grip by increasing it. I know enough about it to know if that would I mean like if you are going up Mountain Straight (against gravity) you will have much more load than if you are going down Conrod straight. If you set the dyno to change the load based on what would be happening at that point on the track you could tune the car to run properly at that load/rpm. If you set up a map of the whole track you could simulate a whole lap (braking would obviously be a problem, but it is not really relevant to tuning the engine)
