  1. 400R is just a novelty, it is like looking at the fanciest mobile phone from 1995, it was cool at the time, but now it is overpriced and irrelevant.
  2. Once again, you can have a helical cut dog box or a straight cut synchro box. Meh... I just want to know what granny shifting is!?
  3. Mos Burger's melon soda almost put me in hospital, I think that has more sugar in it than sugar does! Love the glasses though...
  4. Personally I prefer my sex sequential... Gives me time to rest. Though one time after a bit of a lag I went with a BIG single... oh boy. That was a mistake!
  5. The term Bi-turbo is just a bit of Euro-English... It is like AWD vs 4WD, they really don't mean anything different. Really. It is all just marketing. As I recall Mazda called their sequential setup a Twin-turbo... The Porsche 959 has an interesting take on the twin-turbo setup. It had two equal sized turbos but it would only use one of them (spooled up by the exhaust of all six cylinders) then it would switch to both of them... Apparently it worked quite well. I suspect setups such as on the Audi, Maserati and even the GT-R are more to do with packaging than anything else. On a Vee engine a turbo on each side just makes sense. Also a long engine like a 6-cyl ends up with a big mess of pipes as a manifold.
  6. Majanal: I was really impressed with the first right-left change of the direction you did a few times. The only person who did a better one was the Monaro in one of the finals! Anyway, it was a good day, but getting the R33 around that track looked like trying to squeeze toothpaste back into the tube.
  7. I would like to live in a place where average girls look like that Nice little battle between the D1 Garage S14.5 and the Broadside R32
  8. Hmmm well considering most of the drift cars these days have huge GT wings you can't really call it that... There was a bit of a drag trend to remove the element from GT-R spoilers so it could be that. But these days, you could put an D1 on a dog turd and people would call it Drift Spec
  9. Ohh cool, now I get an excuse to post a pic of this awesome R33 N1 http://www.zele-international.com/bcnr33/33_108.html
  10. As I understand it the XR6T is marginal on cooling as it is, so blocking the radiator with a big FMIC is a problem. This would explain why people are working on Water-Air intercoolers from them... My friend is working on the FPV F6 Typhoon testing so I probably should ask him if that is right. I reckon they should make a Z-tune style bonnet from an XR8 bonnet
  11. Heh it is to protect the guilty, see fuel surge tank thread
  12. Well this is how one guy did it... Looks fairly precarious to me. But better than jacking the car up some weird way IMHO
  13. Well I agree that it can look good but I would definitely put a little lip spoiler on the back... It just looks weird with only the fins... JMS make one that looks pretty good.
  14. You could also use the magical engine trolley...
  15. Here is a setup from another country, not Australia cause that would be illegal. Basically it stops you from leaning out your nice expensive new engine when your fuel is splooshed off to one side around Phillip Island. p.s. Ummm I mean, errr another track, not in Australia
  16. I guess it depends what kind of rocks you are talking about... :bonk: http://members.roadfly.com/jason/m3engines.htm
  17. If you don't smoke you can use the ashtray
  18. Positive they are different... My friend bought a pair of 2530s for his GT-R but they were SR20 ones. They fit onto the manifold but other bits don't fit. You could make a new dump pipe to suit...
  19. So one run and you are done for the night eh BigDatto? The girls must love that Nothing wrong with spoiling for a rematch... Though after the 2nd loss it is all over.
  20. Leewah LOL... that post by Lodau you replied to was just a lame excuse by him to host this stupid pic...
  21. Can you host pics on your dyno too?
  22. Look in the mirror... you are getting older, and so are all of those cars
  23. That post was an obvious troll on a forum like that. It is really quite pointless...
  24. $6k... spend it on, coilovers, strut braces, oil cooler, entry fees, brake pads, tyres, fuel and oil. If you are hitting the track the biggest performance upgrade you can get is practice. Unless you can lap as fast as Mark Skaife then I would suggest doing as little as possible to increase the engine power of what is already an old and powerful engine. Also the R32 is underbraked as it is, and you have to upgrade so many other things on it when you get more power. Just remember that the car will be chewing through rotors, fuel and tyres. Then keep saving until you have $20k and you can start having some fun
