+1 for V8 calais much nicer than an hsv for the money the only problem is it will be auto but really if its a tow car then its like ehhh a auto v8 can do just as good of a job as a manual these days.

It's a case of obviously if the car served no purpose then it wouldn't be in production still, HSV's are good cars but I do find that the amount of extra $$ you have to pay out for the hsv badge is pretty stupid when you could get an SS falcodore for much cheaper that will still do the same job.

Woah I was not expecting the trucks to behave like that towards each other in the video ... the cars yeah they are stupid and do dumb things because most people have nfi about how hard it is to pull up a truck but you would think that other truck drivers would have an idea of just how hard it is.

So i installed a new pump the a fuelmiser and the problem is fixed woo woo I hope this thread helps someone else out at some point

Yeah, It will be nice if I can start the car and take it for a quick round the block to check everythings working as it should. I'm almost tempted to was the thing so it looks good on the outside lulz the insides f**ked tho shit everywhere coz I basically moved that shit from the boot into the back seats so now theres probs 100kg of crap in there

well I had to move all that shit out of the boot to gain access to the top of the tank, you saw how much shit was in there. Other than that it was a pretty straight forward job. I tested the wires after the relay and they were sending 12v to the pump but the pump was doing sfa so thats gotta be the problem.

yay ordered new fuel pump for my friends 32gtst today will be nice if i can finally start the bitch and move her off the front lawn

Yeah did the search for 040 bosch pumps, they seem like a fair root around to get them in with the cutting and then working out the heights so you dont get fuel surge or run outta fuel at 1/4 tank ect ect. Ended up buying a fuelmiser pump which I will pick up later today and try installing tonight. fingers crossed

Ok so another update, Seems to be the fuel pump, I pulled it out of the tank the other day threw 12v to it straight off the battery ... and nothing happened so yep thats the problem, Can anyone recommend a good straight over replacement? I guess I'll have to wire it up myself looks like a pretty straight foward job

Another Update: Well seems that if i spray carbie cleaner into the throttle body the car will fire up on the fumes, which lead me to believe it was the fuel system. I found where it plugs into the fuel pressure reg and unplugged it before that, when i am cranking the car there is no fuel coming out of the lines. So either the fuel filter is blocked or the fuel pump is knackered. I think I might be getting somewhere now tho

Update: so I disconnected the battery to reset the ecu over night ... re-connected and tried to start the car all it does is crank over, doesn't even fire up :S so now I have nfi. If it was the AFM that was on the blink the car should still start right?

ahh ok well if thats the case does anyone have an afm i can borrow from an rb20det or can drive round and help me swap to see if thats definetly the case???

Yeah I might give that a go tonight, reset the ecu then check for error codes again :-) Hopefully I get 12 again. If this is the case is there anyone who can come around and let me swap there one in to confirm that, that is the problem? I guess it would have to be from a gtst because the one from my gtr is a smaller diameter afm so i'm guessing it would send the wrong signals to the ecu.
