I TOOK IT TO A TURBO SPECIALIST AND HE TOLD ME THAT IT WOULDNT BE TO EXPENSIVE TO FIX
STILL HAS THE ACTUATOR PLATE INSIDE THE TURBO (SEE PICTURES)
THE FINS HAVE NO CHUNKS OR CHIPS MISSING
does this sound like the turbo is shagged?

It needs rebuilding. do u rekon its worth it since its 250 buks then cost of rebiuld wich im unsure of?
looking at putting a t3/4e onto my rb20..
only really using it for a street and occasional drag..
im looking at one that is rated up to 600hp.. not sure if this is bullshit or not.

i got ur usual mods such as fmic, bov, boosted to 10psi pod, an timing advanced a tad
it just seems as thomy street tyres are to grippy or something?? because i roled up to the line, put it in 1st and brakes fully on and accel full on at wheels just spun. thats on a smooth race strip.
i have no hope in hell on bitumen!
i have 17x10 at the rear would this be affecting it?
ok well i got a r32 rb20 auto. standard box with a few engine mods nothing major.
i raced my skyline at heathcote raceway and got shocking times of 16s and 17s because of wheel spin.
i didn have slicks or anyting on just "high Perfrormance" street tyres.
Main reason i couldnt get traction was i didn have enough time to do a warm up burnout.
Any of you guys with an auto out there got any ideas on how i can get wheells to spin alot quicker than what they did!!!
I mean they start sloooowly spin when turbo spools up but in the end i dont got enough time to get them smoking.
so any tricks on how to get them going?
whats the best type of turbo for the rb20det that will handle up to 200-250kw on a street/ocassional drag car? looking at somthing that will come onto boost a bit quicker than usual and sticking to a budget of roughly $2000 including manifold/wastegate etc
i did have the timing advanced a little bit and it seemd that i couldnt boost my turbo over 10psi with the car shuddering at about 4500rpm even when hot!
do u guys have any idea if the timing would effect this or do i have another problem?
ive got a fairly standard 32,,
bov,fmic,full 3inch exhaust, boosted to 10psi, rb25 turbo, pod, plugs gapped to 0.8mm etc.
would there be any beinfet or advancing or retarding the timing or should i just leave it?
does anybody have an r32 out there with a type M front bar with a gtr lip?? apparanty they look pretty shit hot and wanted to see what they would look like on mine??

was a nice sunny day, decided to open my sunroof (on the 45 angle) and it went up without a prob but then decided it wouldnt come down!!! now where i live is friging raining and i cant drive!!!
Whenever i push the button the close the roof it has no response but the open button still seems to want to work
any ideas or ways to fix this? other than my last option of buying a 2nd hand switch
