  1. yeh ive got the standard ecu but my tuner advanced my timing a fair bit. He suggests turning it back a little, in which could resolve my problem?
  2. there is a place in ballarat that refills the bottle getting DR DRIFT to do the install and potential tune and its only guna be used for racing purpose only. And na i dont need nos to get past the 180, because its hits 180 in 3rd with an auto....
  3. similar thing happens to my r32 often. Do u run the tank dry then fill it right up?? before i found what was wrong with mine i had to refill once tank got half empty because my fuel pump sensor level had broken and was a bit dodgy and if the fuel was moving around in the tank it would trick itself and think its empty and car wouldnt receive its fuel becasue the pump would suck it up.
  4. hey guys!! Ive got an r32 gtst type-m At the moment i have XHP racing 17'' rims. front are 235.35 and rear are 245.45 It seems that if i lowered the car 2''-2.5" that it would sit nicely and just miss the rear wheels from the side of the guard!! Im looking at getting 18-19's that arent that wide, maybe 235.35/25 Does anybody know from experience how low i could lower the car before i hit the arches etc etc? Ive also got a bodykit gettin fitted at the moment so i wont need to lower it extremly far
  5. just bought a nitrous system for 700 buks, second hand but never been used. come with a 25lb bottle and bottle warmer!! Planning on hooking it to my rb20 "32 A.S.A.P Just wondering on the power increase figures?? It come with a 150hp "jet" and a 200hp "jet" I no what the jet does and so on but im wondering it this will give me an instant extra 150-200hp? And mostly will the motor be able to handle this NOS!

  10. Hear are my mods...(r32 RB20) FMIC, Full 3" Exhaust. 3" dump/front pipe. HKS POD, GFB BOV, HKS cam gears, and timing advanced a tad. Hears my prob... Ive raised boost up to 10psi, tried pushing it a tad further for sum fun ( knowing i could cause damage) and once boost reaches its full potential the car seems to stutter (Misfire) but if i gradually build up the boost it doesnt seem to have this problem? Any ideas?
  11. Actually for all you "street racing" haters i am not a street racer! The St.arnaud OFF STREET DRAG meet was on last week at the local airport and its an 8th mile track!!!!! So NO i am not doing over 180 on the streets!!!! and NO nobody is in the vehicle with me!!! It is just quiet embarrasing when the speed limiter kicks in whilst draggging LEGALLY!!!! johnnilicte! why bother writng on this thread if all your guna do is play secrects!! Im sure i could google how to cut the pin u cut but if im guna remove it im guna get it done properly! FOR TRACK PURPOSE ONLY!!!!! once again im dragging LEGALLY ON A DRAG STRIP!!!!!
  12. hey guys! Got me "32 RB20 hotted up at bit. As you know they kick arse on v8's (just like all RB's!) Was playing around with me mate and his vs ss thats strocked to 355 and he beats me off the line but when i come onto boost he has trouble staying with me Anywayz... finally get to 180kph goes about an inch of the dial then speed limiter kicks it!!! :@ Anybody know how to remove this cheaply without stuffing up any ecu componants?

  15. oh then. what about the newer version with the screen? roughly $400. I also heard that apexi fc dont work with automatic??? ive just recently put in a th350 manualised auto into my ride
  16. a bloke is trying to sell me an APEXI SAFC II for $250.. i hear these are a great piggy back ecu but the only werid thing is ive seen other apexi safc"s and they look like a little screen with a knob u can adjust various things but this 1 is a little black box with 5-6 knobs that are adjustable?? dogdy or something worth looking into?
  17. not 100% sure on the manual box but the auto with slight mods well handle up to 300kw easy! So if you dont start snapping gears and dropping the clutch while in higher gears then you should be safe man. Prob better of "granny Shifting" til you further modify lol
  18. yeh also my other option is beefing up the RB20 auto.. Know of anywhere in vic that does these up?
  19. Ive got an RB20, wanting to know if there is any cheaper ecu's similar to the Apexi Fc that you can tune without being hooked up to some sort of dyno?
  20. So roughly a max of 12psi would be the highest i can push it i guess without harming anything.
  21. it doesnt matter where the hell u can afford to live! just because u may live in the tip-top end of town doesnt mean ppl arent guna knock cars off from around your area. you can also look well into ppl installing your alarm but how are you going to now if there up to something or not?? And im sure if they really wanted to knock of your car that they'd break into your lock up shed and roll your car out the dooR!

  23. and in my case the PROFESSIONAL who install my Viper System was the one who knocked the car off.. How do you over come this?? When they obviously pre-plan the theift and obviously done it b4? Wacky Dee if your so concerned about where you park your car you mayswell not bother having 1! dont take to shops or if u do u mayswell sit in it while your partner/mates going shopping etc or run red lights just incase u pull up to traffic likes in a nice quiet area and some idiot jacks u!
  24. Looking at wrecking my crumby old VL and using the RB30 Block with my 32" Rb20 Head.. Need Some info on the do's and dont's and the up/downsides doing this conversion
