no worries mate! I would say JUST CAR would be most likerly less than 1400 because your over 25 yrs. plus they support all mods that are legal in your state. where as gio wouldnt im guesing. Just Car does require at minimum an alarm system to be installed though. but it doesnt matter what model type there not concerned just as long as you got 1 of some sort

Ive got an RB25 turbo on my RB20 and its running 10psi at the moment. I have these supporting mods so far.. GFB BOV Autotecnica "Monza" Intercooler High Flow Cat 3" Xforce Cat Back exhaust ( Only 1 turbo muffler) POD Turbosmart Boost Controller GTR Radiator Timing Advanced (not 100% how far... Just b4 pinging) Later this week will be installing a HKS Split 3" Dump/Front pipe With these mods would it be safe to turn boost up to 12-15psi?

is a standard cat without any guts as good as a high flow?
-
JUST CAR is who i am through with insurance. Full cover its roughly $2500, i myself am a P-Plater which is why its so expensive. But they cover you for all your mods. You dont even have to ring them an update if you further mod your car. they except photos of the mods or receipts to proove you arnt ripping them off

yes i had a skyline knocked off last year. I had alarm, immobliser etc etc In the end the skyline was found stripped in the back yard of the person who installed my alarm system! So in some instances its a waste of time and money having an alarm! if there is someone smart enough out there to get past it then there guna do it weather its to you or somebody else. where just the unlucky victims. Most likerly because our Skyline's stood out in the carpark!

no its not. i run a high flow cat on street but was just curious
-
yeah im not expecting noticalbe power from the cat but on the dyno NO cat would show up a slightly larger power figure than a high flow?
-
yes i agree it should kick over and run terrible. To me it seems that you may have to have your ecu tuned, depending on the item, or worst case your ecu maybe dodgy? is it 2nd hand or brand new?
-
HAHAH well i mayswell let the pipe do its thing considering its already started haha
-
hey guys.Prob a dumb question..... In the end what would make more power?? A high flow cat or no cat at all?
-
I had the same problem with my 89" gtst and i was queit concerned but in the end it was excess oil from a previous oil leak that was burning off the exhaust
-
na the pipes arent to bad.. will it matter all that much if the fan trims itself down??
-
Just purchased an autotechnica "MONZA" intercooler and piping to suit my RB20 "32 and after all the cutting of front bar and modificatons to fit the intercooler to car etc etc etc the piping that goes to the intake fits nearly 100% except it sits a little to high and I cannot full close my bonnet successfully with pushing the piping down onto the radiator fan which is then munched it is spinning Anybody else had/has this problem?? Anyway of fixing this?

Racing Gearboxs? A Few Questions
chalky replied to chalky's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
na i also have a vl. they got a jatco box.. the non- turbo model cant handle much power at all and the turbo model is a tad better but not much.. So these adaptors that fit rb30 should defiently fit rb20? -
Im looking into putting a Turbo 350-400 manualised Auto transmission into my skyline. It wont be a direct fit so im going to need to buy an ADAPTOR PLATE or purchase a Modified Bell Housing to suit.. Ive done some ringing around and found at a few different places and the make these adaptors and housing but only to suit a RB30.. My question is would these adaptors for the rb30 fit onto an RB20.. Im thinking they may theretically since ppl do engine combos such as RB25/30 etc etc.. Just wondering if anybody would have any idea if these adapotors would be the same? Or atleast no of any buisness around the melbourne region that makes adaptors to suit RB20?

Ive tried adjusting the Bov but nothing happens?? Also every now and then the car will stutter under full boost. cold or hot???
