  1. Model from From PSI parts website, it uses the old 1cc for 1horsepower rule... you want 300rwkw so.. Working out injector size to support your RWkW Goal Injector Size (cc) = A / (B x C x D) A = Projected RWkW Figure B = 0.8 (80% of Maximum Duty Cycle) C = 0.85 (Typical 85% of flywheel power is transferred to the wheels) D = 0.746 (Convert HP to RWKw) Injector Size (cc) = 300 / (0.8 x 0.85 x 0.746) Injector Size (cc) = 300 / 0.507 Injector Size (cc) = 591 Injector Size (cc) ≈ 600? (Always round up to next size available) Note: This calculation only works for Unleaded Fuel, if you are planning to run E85 you should factor in around 30% increase in flow. Short answer is i think youll need aftermarket injectors for 300rwkw. IF you wanted to push it and included a fuel reg you may get there but i would give yourself room to breathe and peace of mind and go larger rather than smaller on injectors..
  2. Thanks very much Johnny! As people have said, its reward enough to hear people talk this way about your car. My car had to have taken the award for most stock/boring looking white r33 and i was wandering back towards it when i noticed a young bloke taking photos of it. I had a chuckle and said "youve gotta be the first person ive ever seen take photos of my car.." He looked at me and said "every skyline deserves a photo mate." Well chuffed for such a fantastic day and its comments like that that make it all the more enjoyable!
  3. bump. in fact; hump de bump.
  4. God i hope it was a coincidence that it happened after i came home from the show, but my car got broken into and attempted stolen last night Just wanted to say anyone that is putting together DVDs of the day please PM and ill happily buy copies. I was taking photos on my cheap digi camera then decided it would be best to get copies of your guys DSLR photos instead. And my camera got stolen from the car anyway... Can't wait for the next show See you guys at christmas cruise or texikhana!
  5. An awesome day, my first SAU event and i was thoroughly impressed Thanks to all the people i met and chatted with on the day, was fantastic to know the club i've joined is full of such inviting and friendly people. Special thanks to Shell for putting up with my pestering and Malcolm for putting the three, i mean two, stickers on my car Congratulations to all the winners, they're an inspiration for the future of my car; some truly exquisite machinery.

  8. People use a lot of words in common usage in ways that are away from the literal or original meaning. People describe wheels as sick, or an exhaust as sounding angry. Wheels do not in fact get ill, and exhaust gasses do not have emotion, angry or otherwise. This doesn't make these people wrong though, in the same way people using JDM in some cases where they dont literally mean it. JDM seems to be used as a shortening of JDM style (there might even be a forum about it;) ) If you said JDM or JDM style to someone in the car scene they would probably think of carbon parts, one or two tone paint jobs without candy or stripes, understated and light weight wheels and functional interior mods like a bride seat and a guage or two. The fact that people think of that when people say JDM means it does have a meaning other than its literal one. my 2c. and for todays trivia, seems relevant "Originally in Greek the word idiotes meant “a private person,” that is, just your average Joe."
  9. yeah ive got better brakes already, really helped at the 5km/h i was doing. a sodding great huntsman spider ran up my drivers side window and scared living shit out of me, kinda took my mind off stopping. pretty pro.

  11. got convinced to enter... and just to make it look nice i polished the car. oh wait no i didnt.... i spent sunday and then monday arvo filling dented guard on his car and respraying it with my brother then managed to run my car into the arse end of a boat propellor on a trailer and put a 40 cm scratch in my bonnet. High five...me. see you there lads, by sunday ill be a card carrying SAU NSW member. bring it on!
  12. back with stock rims on atm but even so, still my fav so far
  13. anyone can feel free to correct me if im wrong but.. my understanding is that speed graphs mean you cannot really disguise a laggy setup, whereas displaying vs. rpm you can. if for instance the dyno run was done in 5th, you could have the car very very slowly pulling from 2000rpm all the way to redline, and this slow climb in revs would give a massive turbo time to spool by say 3-3500 rpm and by looking at the printout you wouldnt know. This same setup displayed as speed instead of rpm you would see that it was still only making massive boost because it was in 5th up round 200kph, not a useful track/street setup neccesarily. By displaying in speed this fudge factor is taken out as the dyno tuners are forced to make runs in 3rd or 4th which shows us actual meaningful response times for the power delivery. By knowing roughly your gear ratios and comparing this to the speeds on the dyno chart you can tell what gear the run was done in and thus whether or not to take the responsiveness (or lack of) of the engine with a grain of salt.... Hope this helps Sean

  18. How long is a piece of string unfortunately. ive heard of and seen $1000 dollar paint jobs through to $10000 paint jobs. Things in your favour: 1: New car so your current paint is a smooth base to lay new primer and paint over(hopefully) 2: Sounds like you want a single colour and without any candy or other expense adding extras. You can save yourself money if you want to put in the effort of prepping the car for paint yourself, but in the end you get what you pay for in the finish. I would say ball park a couple of grand but hopefully people can shed some more light for you.
  19. i read all 65 pages of that spanish tuner thread, the last like 30 pages are just car club memebrs from arond the world checking in to say the thread reached their forums. The thread got 2 million views though. But the 4g63 eclipse he "tuned" including XS power turbo that he lunched the blades on, one piece solid intercooler piping with no flex joints, one pice exhaust, welded clutch, leaking fuel system include fuel pickup 'bored out' with a hacksaw...wait for it... made 360 or so hp...on TWO BAR of boost. Needless to say it lunched more bits on second dyno run and by that stage the guy realised the world was watchin his idiocy an stopped posting updates. Well worth a read for a solid laugh! Oh, and he has the MOST pro respraying skills ever, you gotta check it out, waht with SAU Show n Shine comin up we could learn a thing or two...
  20. Didnt know my brither was on SAU To be fair Leif, they were both black nuggets with loud exhausts to the untrained eye My first car was a 1973 Eb1 Honda civic. 1200c of raw fury, 3/4 of the cylinders worked and it cost dad $250 with 7 months rego. Rebuilt, resprayed, retrimmed and rewired by yours truly, and sold for $450 after 12 motnsh of pizza delivery Second and current car is a 1997 R33 series II GTS-T
  21. yeah i sat in these seats in the just jap showroom, and the 'wings' or whatever you call them that wrap around the side of your ribs you can just bend and move with your hand....not really a hard corner support seat imo. +1 for GT-R seats, its what im looking at
