HAHAHA i have only just realised that the greeny blue led skyline garnish on the back of my car isnt standard. I just assumed they all had them but they rarely worked I have a Series two but with this mod done when i bought it. And on a side note i went for a cruise the other night around 3am when i couldnt sleep, undercover followed me along anzac parade and all the way down oxford street to george and wasnt worried enough by this light to pull me over, my understanding of the law is the same as WYTSKY, as long as intensity doesnt change on braking and doesnt flash or anything its legal.

its old school, ghetto and been done, but its cheap. Depends on you confidence in DIY but it may give you a lot of peace of mind. Get any old switch from dick smith or one you might have around, find one of your igniton wires and mount the switch in-line with one of the wires. hide it up under your dash somewhere it cant be seen and leave the switch off if you park it outside. To start your car obviously youll have to to flick the switch to on. As i said, quite ghetto but its another line of defence if youre really worried. My dad told me this idea as he did it to his tarmac rally Mini Cooper S back in the day and sure it enough it was stolen, but he found it two blocks away down the hill and round the corner cos they couldnt work out how to start it. Your car may or may not be being cased, but maybe thisll let you sleep at 4 am instead of posting on SAU Hope this helps, Sean

I got the shits today cos my 33 is back to stock wheels and looks ugly and is having boost issues. But seriously, never refer to it as your shitbox, even in the company of cars like these. A guy in a civic pulled up at the lights next to me the other day and his car looked mint. HE winds down his window and says, look good, wish i drove a skyline Youve got a 33 mate, not a shitbox

respect for the work put in so far man, love to see it when its finished and satin black maybe not matte? matte black sometimes has that idea attached that people dont want you to look to closely if you know what i mean.. after youve put all this work in be proud of it and paint it a bit more stand out colour than matte black imo. i mean as people said itd look fkn tough as nails stealth fighter in matte black but yeah, my 2cents.

it would very much depend on how the body of the indicator is made. you know how headlights have the front flat bit and then the main body, and they are joined together with a kind of glue that can be heated and prised apart.. well if indicator body was one piece i tihnk youd be stuffed but if its two piece why wouldnt the same process ppl use on headlights work.. as for the spray stuff i remember it being for sale in autobarn or super cheap auto. described on the directions to apply more layers dependign on how dark you want the smoke effect so i jsut googled. VHT nightshade is waht im talkign about. 13 bucks a can or so from autobarn. can anyone shed any light (no pun intended) on the design of the body of the indicators spunky munky is lookign at?? one or two piece?

no worries, only other thing i can think of is..(dont know if this is possible, jsut thinking outloud) buying a clear set, heating them partially the same way people do to take apart headlights for projector conversion, then spraying the inside of the lense with that DIY lens smoking stuff in spray cans they sell at autobarn etc...
