  1. There was an NA weapon going for 12k not long ago, the guy posted a thread asking if he was asking too much cos he couldn't sell it. A quick search should find it.
  2. got pics mate?
  3. Interesting discussion. In terms of thermodyamics, there is less potential for the rear mount turbos due to efficiency loss at the lower temperature, but that's just the thermodynamics. The extra piping, need for intercooler, specific turbo design (it's NA so not looking for huge boost) etc will all have more effect on determining whether or not it's worth it for any particular project.
  4. It's not detonation is it?
  5. If you want to read up on spark plugs and what to by it's all covered in the spark plugs thread, I'll even give the link http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sp...gs-t104405.html
  6. I thought stock was 1.1mm...
  7. Hey guys, I was test driving a magna for a daily drive today and noticed it was making an interesting noise under load. Been trying to figure out how to describe it on the forums lol, like a rapid "psss" sound, 5-10 times per second. I'm not sure if other's I've test driven made this sound, just wondering what it is? Thanks for the help
  8. Mr plod just said "round here", and I was in Jesmond. Sorry mate, not sure of the details. Newcastle uni has also had the problem of people undoing wheelnuts in campus carparks, I personally hope they're caught and tried for attempted murder, or caught by some big guy with a wheel lock who can teach them a lesson. Fk I hate people like that
  9. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Free bump for an awesome call!!!!
  10. Got a dyno sheet mate?
  11. Deposit taken
  12. I know. Cops were good though, I'd taken it to ~5k rpm (50kmph) with less than full throttle in a jesmond side street and an unmarked v6 omega started flashing it's lights. Wanted to check it wasn't stolen lol. I actually took a deposit on it this morning, it could have been the poor guy buying it trying to explain how he was on his way to change the rego haha
  13. There's 4 white r34's at newy, 2 NA, 2 gtt's lol. All with white rims. It's pretty random. I need an exam car
  14. haha always got your back bro *pulls gangsta pose* That's why sougi will be so badly missed, the fans feel betrayed and also poorer
  15. Smelling petrol can be a bunch of problems, including a stuffed cat *awaits pic of sufed cat* Def try to use the stock thermostat, just check it works correctly. The temp gauge in the car, even the stock one which is hardly accurate, will give you a heads up before anything goes wrong. Hey mad, at what point of modding should you use 8 temp plugs? With big turbos, fuel pumps and track use?
  16. I was cruising along in liverpool once in my 34 gtt, didn't notice that I'd just pulled up next to an sv6 ute at the lights. I took off a little quickly, just enjoying the car, 3/4 throttle changing at 4k rpm. I noticed a lout noise next to me, it was the dousche in the sv6 unintentionally pulling a 30 degree drift whilst bouncing off the rev limiter. I stamped on the breaks and has he caught it he was propelled into my lane, where I would have been if I hadn't hit the breaks. Moral of the story: I had no idea we were "dragin", and he could have killed me or my gf or some other poor bastard when he lost control. Oh yeah, I also let a golf gti and a subi rx (with wrx badges o_O) beat me lately cos their lane was ending soon
  17. Got pulled over this morning near newcastle uni and warned that skylines have been stolen in the area lately, just thought I'd give a heads up
  18. Got pulled over this morning near newcastle uni and warned that skylines have been stolen in the area lately. Gotta say, I listened lol
  19. Must have abs and airbags. 1996 model onwards. 3.0L or 3.5L and auto or manual, all good. Please call 0422 215 127 if interested and in the newcastle area. Cheers, Ben
  20. the old pacific highway is pretty fun, not sure if it's too far south though
  21. Usually people go to 0.8mm first as you can buy the plugs in 0.8 (ngk bcpr6es, ngk bkr6es and bosch fr7dp (those are platinums, but cost like an extra 50c per plug than the ngk coppers, and might last 6000km rather than 5000km )).
  22. If the coilpacks are stock they're probably on their way out. What year and how old is the car? It's an easy upgrade to regain some slight power loss and rev-happiness from the tired old coilpacks. I'm not sure what effect those mods would have. Usual rule is change sparkplugs for new ones, lower the gap, then change the coilpacks. Though you could just do all three, the coils will go eventually and will need the upgrade.
  23. Called around to a stack of places who don't seem interested in shipping, one advised it'd be cheaper to just drive it down. Again, if you're interested I'm sure we can come to some arrangement. Cheers, Ben
  24. I'm pretty negotiable with it mate, make me an offer (please don't waste time with low balling though ). That said, I spent AT LEAST 10 grand on all the gear and so on that I'm selling for 6k, that's what you get though when you buy new though. It's all still pretty fresh as I only got to the track a few times. I'll get back to you with a shipping price, but I'm sure we can reach some sort of agreement if you're interested.
  25. Well lets be honest, a second difference between 2 cars over a 0-100km/h run only equates to a carlength or two, so it's easy to feel like you're keeping up with something really quick. It's the >100km/h acceleration that shows the difference in power .
