  1. Haha still here mate, still here. Last I heard they were coming up with another cheap 10w40 replacement product. Birds will know more though...
  2. Cheers mate, it's something I've been debating doing for a long time, figured I'll let the next owner decide. It costs $300 to have 4 wheels professionally cleaned and painted, not much in the scheme of things...
  3. Also willing to trade for an L-plate legal bike with cash my way
  4. Hey mate, If you're willing to travel I'm selling mine for a fair bit under 20k. It's close to stock so you could put whatever kit/mods you want on it and still stay under the mark. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/19...Gt-t340690.html Cheers
  5. Stock skyline exhaust is between 91 and 94 db so it might be hard to find a legal one, just a thought
  6. My parents wanted a new car and went to the gov auctions. Picked up an 09 camry with 25000kms on it for 17k. It's like their 6th auction car and suits them (mum) perfectly. Dad's thinking an alfa is next haha
  7. Open to trades for a daily drive or L plate legal road bike...
  8. Free bump + question: 100000km service done mate?
  9. Btw I'm not just trying to slam the aussie v8's, just that v8 lol
  10. Cheers for the explanation mad. I have to say the magnas were enjoyable to drive in that respect, they got to the speed limit easily in 2nd,3rd,4th and stayed there. This was a manual xr8, and I tried to take off in second and had to give it a disappointing number of revs to do it. All the while though it sounded great
  11. It's fairly stock, boost is up round 12-13 though. There's either a leak in the bleed off tube from the stock boost controller, or the stock bc has been modified somehow. Not something I'm that worried about. That second would make a difference on the track though. Anyways, don't want to get into a v8 vs skyline argument, I don't really care (hence test driving both). I do care that the xr8 felt really slow, and looking down at the speedo, it was. Maybe that one was a tired old one, who knows. I did expect to be amazed at it's low down torque, but it didn't seem to have any or go anywhere. I certainly felt that torque wise the 34 was quite close below 3k rpm, and above the turbo seemed much faster and kept going to 7k. If I was going to go v8, I'd want plenty of low down, and that xr8 was a let down.
  12. Maybe I drove a dud, i was watching the speedo though. It really didn't feel fast (which soft suspension and seats etc that's expected), but it took longer than I'd have hoped to get to 90 from a stand still, I was rather disappointed. I driven that route a thousand times in the last 5-6 years, and over a hundred in my r34. All that said, if the car took a second longer to get to 90, that does feel like a lifetime when watching the speedo.
  13. Look forward to it...
  14. Common myth. It's true in normal cars but HEAPS of people on here agree that they don't last much longer, but everyone's experience varies. The usual solution is changing plugs every 5000km and using coppers...
  15. Yeah, you're right mad. I was driving an au falcon with the 5.0L v8, which has peak torque at 3000. By comparison the 5.7L has peak torque at 1200 lol, so maybe the 5.0L is a bit of a dud itself... I drove both 3.0L and 3.5L magnas on the weekend. I really liked them, they actually felt very similar in speed to the v8. Now I just have to find one in good nic.
  16. You can get them made mate if you need them urgently. Just a thought
  17. Hey mate, can you post some more pics please? Also what year? Manual/auto? Where abouts you located? Cheers
  18. And, forgot to mention, oil, oil filter and spark plugs changed every 5000km... I also have a new Nissan fuel filter which I haven't put in yet which is the new owner's if they want it.
  19. If you're looking to get a new one, kudos has them http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/ad...amp;x=0&y=0 Hope it works out mate
  20. Also, the Alpine 4x50W head unit has a USB dock which plays mp3 and other file formats, and also and ipod cable. It's amazing how easy it is to forget all this info
  21. Where mate? Any mods? When was the clutch changed? Cheers
  22. hahahaha "running on most of the cylinders", fk that's funny. I agree, every little noise freaks me out on the 34. I test drove a 5.0L xr8 last week and omfg it was slow!!! It was a '99 model I think and despite the extractors and twin 3" exhaust it didn't seem to go anywhere haha. Sounded amazing though. Might test drive a 5.7 ss before deciding against an aussie sedan. A mate of mine is strongly recommending a mid-90s lancer gsr with an evo 3 engine. Awd and manual are pretty quick apparently, though my perception is being entirely warped by my 34. Everything feels slow (and quiet!). Might end up getting a 33 for something with some grunt...
  23. Also: The car has a GReddy turbo timer The spacers the car had when I bought it are included The alarm has a 3 point immobiliser (part of the Mongoose M80G) Stock mats still in the car, they look great Spare tyre and jack are included Wheels have locking nuts I can include the original coilpacks if you want, it is likely only one would have failed Flywheel was machined with the clutch change Brakes still work brilliantly Stock ABS and airbags Speakers still have plenty of punch Skyline symbol/sign on the front Amp was installed by previous owner, not currently in use The paint and interior are great, a very nice car to own and love. It has always been run on 98 octane fuel. Willing to trade for either something interesting or a good daily with cash my way. This car is a blank slate for mods, nice place to start if you want. Or, this car is a fantastic daily, it's been mine for quite some time. The climate control is a dream and the ride is fantastic, especially for an 11 year old car. I will certainly buy another one of these when I have the money. Cheers, Ben
