  1. It seems that I was under the misguided impression that Australia and the UK both sold Nissan Skylines in their respective markets.
  2. So far I have gotten some good feedback from people with K-Sports. However, the spring/shock combo is still appealing for affordability and ride comfort while still improving handling performance.
  3. Wow! I am startled at this revelation. I was unaware that there was so little support there. Meanwhile, my particular dealership is drooling at the opportunity to work on and showcase my R32. I have purchased a number of cars from them in the past and pushed a LOT of business their way. We have a very good relationship. That might have something to do with it.
  4. Thanks for the replies. I too wondered about the calipers. I will have an opportunity to test fit them this weekend. I will take some pics (although she is not pretty) for some feedback.
  5. Since all the broohaha about how the Skylines here were not "legally" imported, everyone who has one is running scared. Meanwhile, the car is a diamond in the rough. It only needs a little TLC to bring it back to its original glory. Any thoughts/tips would be greatly appreciated. Once I nail down a replacement suspension, I am going to throw on some Longchamp XRVs 17x8/17x9 on there which should accent the metallic black paint...at least on the rear of the car. After that, the engine will be pulled, along with the trim and everything else and it will be sent out for a fresh coat of Black Metallic Pearl. While that is being done, I will rebuild the engine to ensure that everything is good to go. Finally, I will freshen the entire interior. Along my journey I am sure that I will add here and delete there...just like any other worthwhile project.
  6. Well, it took me a while but I finally found the INTRODUCTION area. I have been around Nissans for some time, but I just got my first Skyline recently. It is a '93 R32 GTS-T with a GT-R front end swap. It is a little rough around the edges, but has lots of potential. While the car is pretty solid it still needs a lot of work just to daily drive it. It has blown rear coilovers and the car is running on Cobra wheels and undersized tires. LOL Regardless, I got this with my eyes wide open. Right now it's no beauty queen, but one day... Meanwhile, the list below keeps me pretty well entertained. Cheers.
  7. There is but I believe they are paranoid about new members. I think people are fearful of getting their Skyline confiscated by the government. They probably vet all new registrations to make sure they are on the up and up.
  8. I must be retarded. I cannot find the stock GTS-T wheels size/offset for the R32. Help?
  9. Will these wheels fit the R32 GTS-T? If I can get the stock/OEM size, then I can just plug it in here: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp SSR Longchamp XR-V 17x8+30/17x9+35
  10. I can understand that people on occasion do not have the spare time available to them to get routine maintenance or installation work done on their cars. However, the OP was positively raped. He probably could have had it all done cheaper at an authorized Nissan dealership, btw who SPECIALIZE in Skylines and GT-Rs, and had it all done right the first time. I often use Nissan's service/parts pricing as a benchmark in the event I have to have anything done that I cannot, or do not have the time to do myself.
  11. I understand that this may have sounded like a newb question, but as a veteran user on other sites I frequent information is either vague, too general, or just not readily available. What I *did* get a lot of is "Ask the guys on Skylines Australia. They have plenty of people with experience with this." So here I am. Meanwhile, I have gone through a number of articles on the sight and have seen some extensive threads on the R33 GTS-T suspension setups, but not nearly as many on the R32 as I had hoped. Of course, the lateness of the hour here (U.S.) in my original searching probably impaired my sleuthing abilities. Perhaps I am just not looking in the right places. Nevertheless... It is my understanding that the suspension on the GTS-T is slightly different than the GT-R, but shares the same subframe as the S13. Is this correct? If so, that certainly helps in some of my searching. While coilovers are offer a solid performance base (and even some baller status depending on make/model coilover), is there no spring/shock combo that works? I am certainly not opposed to a coilover setup though. Obviously, my greatest hurdle to overcome is the availability of parts/aftermarket parts for the Skyline. I figure with the vast experience on this site with the R32 GTS-T that undoubtedly someone has had the experience to share. I look forward to your informative replies. Thank you in advance.
  12. The rubber molding around the windows and doors, along with the trim around the windows is deteriorating and cracking. Does anyone know of a place here in the states that offers these parts or must they all come from Australia or Japan?
  13. I have been looking at coilover setups ranging from KSport, Tein, and Driftworks to a spring/dampener setup using Eibach springs or similar with Bilstein or KYB AGXs. Any thoughts on this? I am not into grip nor drifting, but do take the occasional spirited drive.
