  4. yeah looks like it - havent taken it out yet seeing as it fixed itself for a few days.. i hit a decent bump in the road this evening... tacho went beserk again.. will take it out tomorrow for a look

  12. rsm is this yep im pretty sure its just the tacho failing but im just curious as to why the tacho smoothes itself out but just reads 1000rpm more than the rsm... hard to explain but when i throttle on and off the rpm will increase/decrease normally but just 1000rpm more than the rsm.. from what i read if its failing - it should be dancing constantly right? rather than getting a steady rpm signal but just 1000rpm more than the rsm
  13. lol i just googled "yellow jacket coil packs for r34"....multiple listings for yellow jackets for all skylines on ebay... edit: iirc there is a business trader on this forum who sells yellow jackets.. might need to brush up on your internets
  14. ive got about the same mileage i use motul turbolite 4100 or 8100..
  15. r33 series 2 gtst i know its a common problem with skylines... dancing tacho etc.. However, the difference with mine is sometimes it will go crazy for a bit.. sometimes it will read the correct rpm (ive also got an apexi rsm)... but then sometimes it will read exactly 1000rpm more than the RSM... and when im on/off the throttle the rpm needle will increase and decrease as it normally would when accelerating/decelerating.. (also to note, this is without touching the cluster as some people have said by pushing it in it will read the correct rpm briefly) Any ideas?
  16. its in great condition but needs $1500 spent on it.. f**kn lol clearly there is something wrong with it deeming it not safe therefor not worthy of being on the road. I sincerely hope that you CAN'T find a mechanic willing to put something unsafe on the road..
  17. Hey drew have. Look though the forced induction page in these forums.. Plenty of info on modding your car You're on the right track with your mods but keep in mind the end goal.. Eg will 300hp suffice or do I want more later on? Planning will save you money.
  18. Also it has a blitz bov new ngk iridium plugs gapped to .8mm Forgot to mention the driver side window possible needs a new motor. It still works but stops about an inch from the top. A little nudge and it will go all the way up but fails to click itself off. Have been quoted around 150 to fix the window with genuine Nissan parts. Whilst I know the car is in good condition, the couple of minor problems have been taken into consideration and reflected in the price. Located west side of Brisbane
  19. Every 7500 for me, stockish r33. New filter + motul turbo lite 4100 or 8200 depends what's cheaper.

  21. What mods are done to the car? Sounds like it could be a coil pack problem, might be running to much boost and it's hitting r&r Need more info.

Just about to put another 6 months rego on it. 1997 r33 (rego shows 1996 Nissan fast shows 1997) 155000 km on chassis Unknown km on engine stock turbo (racq electronic compression test when I bought it showed 90% or above on all 6 cylinders) 3inch turbo back exhaust Greddy / data Logit gauges control boxes. Apexi rsm, auto gauge for boost Tpiece boost controller (8psi) Blitz pod filter After market oil cooler, filter relocated, earls braided lines Tein type HA coil overs After market front strut brace 18s with staggered fitment (85% tread left) USB/iPod alpine headunit, jvc speakers Keyless entry with immobiliser (installed by Chris R) New o2 sensor done 5 months ago New Bendix front brake pads Gearbox and diff oil done about 8 months ago Radiator flushed + coolant 3 months ago New throttle body gasket Problems: Front bar needs replacing ( I have a replica 400r front bar and 2 brand new Nissan clear indicators, front bar just needs painting and fitment + install indicators) Slight knock from the rear suspension, Doesn't effect the handling, have been told its the D bushes that are worn. No leaks either. Clutch needs adjusting possibly needs a new clutch fork boot. Clutch isn't slipping and still bites quite well. Air conditioning needs regassing. Apart from the few minor problems the car has never missed a bit. Doesn't blow smoke, starts first time everytime. The paint is pretty good apart from a few stone chips. Side skirts and rear bar could do with a new coat of paint. Pm for pics. Make offers.
