  1. bed is less than 8 months old.. queen size posturepedic something or other.. terry: cheers for the info.. i know i was a bit brief with my problem... no pot, no cigs, i do drink coffee in the morning with 1 sugar apart from that i dont put any extra sugar into things (dont really have much of a sweet tooth either) My dad and my uncle have sleep apnea (sp?) my diet is usually 4-5 meals a day.. a typical day would be breakfast: cereal or toast with a banana + cup of coffee with 1 sugar lunch: usually left over pasta/chicken/salad from the night before and sometimes another cup of coffee.. or a few hard boiled eggs on bread dinner: either chicken breast with rice and veg, steak with mash and vegies, pasta, or spag. bol. snacks are usually a few saladas with avo on it, pack of chips every now and then, and trail mix (dried fruit, nuts, choc bits)
  2. also - legislation is different state to state so whilst somethings may be legal in qld they may not be in WA.. best to search for your states legislation which governs this..
  3. i do prefer how pal has mounted his sideways to give better leverage to turn the oil filter when doing an oil change..
  4. sorry to hijack the thread but seemed pointless making another one about sleeping etc. ive noticed since i quit smoking (10 weeks today!) i find it even harder to get to sleep now than i did while i was smoking. (im a light sleeper, any noise will wake me up, room has to be pitch black i.e even with the led on my tv i have to turn it off) and sleeping next to the gf just makes it even tougher) im trying the melatonin pills you've mention terry along with magnesium pills about 30 mins before i go to sleep... for example.. sunday morning i got up at 8am , sunday night i was knackered around 9:30pm... the last time i looked at my phone was 2:10am and woke up at 6:30am.. nearly 5 hours of just lieing there... Not only do i then feel tired when i wake up but it usually comes with incredibly bad back pain.. I have a fairly healthy diet - dont smoke - no drugs apart from a few beers on the weekend.. very rarely do i write myself off either.. Im at the point now where im looking for something thats pretty much going to KO me so i at least have a good sleep.. Or would something like that have big side effects in the morning? (i know its basic information... could be other factors i.e back pain, diet etc)
  5. no worries mate - all the best with it.. and thats ok about the pics... If you have time - take step by step pictures of how you do yours... post it up here and return the favour to SAU you never know, there could be others out there going through thread after thread on how to do exactly what your doing.. edit: lol sorry for all the edits, i just remembered a few things - when your mounting it to the chassis make sure you give a little lick of paint to stop the new hole from rusting... and also make sure with the oil lines that when they bolt into the (grex plate in my case) that its perfectly sealed (otherwise leaks will occur) And also you'll tend to use a little more oil when you change it as it has to fill up the lines etc (like i said with keeping an eye on the oil level, its very marginal but just in case you start fretting that you put in the recommended amount and its still not up to the H level on the dip stick) And also, check your oil level when the car is cold i.e leave it over night.. (iirc rb25det takes about 3.8-4L) mine took just over 4L and sits exactly on the H on the dipstick.. search for yours though, the rb26 may use more than that..
  6. if your after motul 4100 turbolight check out just jap in the traders section... bought 5L for 80 odd bucks including postage which only took a day
  7. no worries champ ... one tip when you've done it (this is common sense but no harm in mentioning it) - is constantly keep checking for any leaks for a few days/weeks - i had no problems but its wise just to keep an eye on the oil levels/leaks. (put a piece of white paper on the ground under the new relocation point and also another piece under where the new lines will meet the block) - obviously if the paper has oil drops on it, then there is a leak) edit: also depending on what Pal has done with his, do not over tighten the oil filter like i did last time.. due to its close proximity to the radiator pipe / fuse box / washer bottle - when you go to do an oil change there is very little room and its quite hard to get leverage without taking the washer bottle out (i broke 3 of those oil filter removal tools, and yes i had to do the screwdriver into the side trick which i thoroughly DO NOT recommend)
  8. this is where mine attaches to the block
  9. new coils bro - you can do what mad said and tape them up / silicone them - may mask the problem for a few months but it will get worse over time..
  10. broke the connection where it plugs into the side of the radiator tubing. my question is - would it be easier to solder it back together (there is barely any wiring left where it meets the sensor) or just buy a new sensor?
  11. hey champ just realised yours is a gtr, hope this helps.. 1st pic - drivers side - oil cooler sitting beside the lights. the lines run between the radiator and the lights.. 2nd pic - you can see where its be relocated to - bolted just beside the fusebox/washer bottle (not sure if the gtr has this in this same place. i assume it does) 3rd pic - where the lines run back into where the original oil filter was located. let me know if you want / need more pics..
  12. I'll take a pic of mine. When I get a break
  13. Nice. I had a ae101, that thing loved 8000rpm all day everyday.

  15. Pm chris Rogers in the audio or qld section, he re built mine after all that damage I posted in your thread
  16. Sounds awesome, that pop when u back off the gas is daaaaammm nice! I'd really like to drive something with this amount of aero to get a feel for how crucial it can be even for a tight track.
  17. Red 34 gold rims written off inbound corner enogera road and Aldersen rd. Nasty damage was going to snap a photo but they looked very sad. Was about 3:30pm this sfternoon
  18. try plugs - check for damage / gap distance..
  19. how big is the exhaust? do you have a show off valve?
  20. lol takes 2 mins..my only advice is if you do get it started make sure your steering wheel doesnt lock, if your stealing the car - please disregard my advice.. (this actually happened to me..was ages from home - tow trucks where going to be too expensive, theft excess was too big.. surely hot wiring my own car had to be the cheapest option)
  21. plugs should be gapped to .8mm whilst you have the plugs out, check the coilpacks for cracks - you can tape them up / silicone them however from numerous posts this is only a temporary fix, new splitfires ($500-$600) are well worth the investment. Havent used or researched yellow jackets (cheaper) however if your not going for bullshit huge horsepower then they may be an option if your wallet is light.. oem nissan packs are just as expensive as the splitfires so may as well go with the splitfires.. Id first rule out anything else before forking out for new coilpacks.. it could be a simple fix.. get the vac leak fixed, whether or not its the problem its still a good idea to fix it.. as they say "a stitch in time saves nine"
  22. coilpacks / plugs / vac leak? Is it running rich?
