  1. Where's the restrictor and how can I tell if its been removed?
  2. Trying to decdide what mods to get. I have an R32 GTR with Full exhaust, pods. Coilovers. Planning on getting an apexi Pfc, boost controller, afm's and changing standard turbo's. Only thing is can only afford to do either the turbo swap or the Pfc and boost controller at the moment. Which option will give me greater benefit initially?
  3. I've had my r32 GTR for nearly a week now and i'm still getting to know the ins and outs of it. I've just managed to get the boost gauges working and have discovered that the car is running with 13 psi boost. The guy I bought it off said that it had standard turbo's running standard boost. I've searched all over the engine bay and I can't see any sign of a boost controller or bleed valve. I had a look at the turbo's and they have got Garrett on them. Am I right in thinking that standard turbo's are IHI jobbies? The car has a full aftermarket exhaust system including hi flow cat and pod filters. Does this amount of boost sound right with these mods without the use of a controller/bleed valve? How many different model Garrett turbo's are there for the gtr?
  4. Here here. I'll have to agree with you on that one. I've only owned my skyline for 5 days and my missus loves it but she does keep complaining about how much time I spend on here. All I keep hearing being shouted to me is "what are you looking at now" Or "come on spend some time with me".
  5. thanks for all the replies. Found where it used to be attached to tonight and have it all connected now.
  6. yeah its already connected to that black box but its not connected to the engine so not picking any vacuum up. Need to know where on the engine to connect.
  7. The standard one isn't connected to anything. When you say the fuel line vacuum do you mean the short piece that goes on the fuel pressure regulator?
  8. I've just bought my first r32 skyline gtr. The car has had a new engine and the standard boost gauge and apexi boost gauge have not been connected. There's 2 vacuum lines in the engine bay one that I think is for the standard gauge which is connected to some sort of sensor on the drivers side firewall. It t's off 3 ways one way to the sensor one heading into the cabin and the other to nothing. I've had my radio and climate controls out to connect a radar detector and there is also a vacuum line behind there not connected to anything which I think is the one coming from the engine. The vacuum line for the Apexi gauge is just sat in the engine bay not connected. It has what looks like a one way valve in line. Any ideas where I can can connect at least one of these up?
  9. First of all hi to everyone on this forum. In the process of looking for an R32 GTR and feel like pulling my hair out so am after a little advice. I have 20k budget to spend. I've spent the last month making phone calls and looking at cars and really can't decide what to buy. Most of what I've seen so far has been a bit dissapointing or maybe my expectations are too high. I've looked at cars that have a modification list as long as your arm but quite frankly I think have been quite shabby in condition on bodywork and interior. Although I have seen one car that is well below my budget with fairly good bodywork and interior but is in fairly standard form. Would it be easier for me to buy a pretty standard car at a cheap price and then mod it myself or am I better off getting one thats had a shed load of money spent on it and sacrifice the aesthetics. Any help much appreciated.
