  1. awesome thanks dude, its more the smell that annoys me lol im looking into have a V35 radiator modded, and no im not in a rush, want to get the right one for the job. need to get the in-tank transmission cooler in there too! and also the PWR one crammed into the body work somewhere lol
  2. err no dont use anything except 98RON. they should be run on 100RON but shell dont sell that anymore.
  3. havent done the nismo dash yet mate, but this weekend ill take some pics for your reference! shouldnt be all that difficult i would imagine. thanks for the info RE the radiator. i might just get a custom job made up, but that probably means removing mine for them to copy i kinda gotta drive the car. and yeah the top isnt cracked i think, just the o-ring that seals the plastic to the metal. its seeping out one side. is there a temporary fix i can do for a week or so?
  4. i put mine on today. looks the goods in the aero front bar. no holes needed it seems there is some lag around 3k. i thought it wasnt revving that high for some reasoin but i just put my boot into it and it went nicely past it
  5. hahah thats about right! it was the first mod i did 1 week after getting the car. so damn annoying with it incorrect! nismo dash? nice!! i gots one too. installed the HDi FMIC kit today. took around 3.5 hours had some problems with the clamps. should have just bought some worm drive ones. was worried the fan wasnt working, had to go for a drive to get it to come on, i wired it up correctly first go THEN i found some coolant, looks like the top radiator tank is cracked/leaking
  6. you shouldnt see much power at all if you dont increase the boost. FMICs dont give you more power, they just allow you to up boost levels safely. i gotta get a dump pipe asap........
  7. im about to use Project Mu Spec B, used the NR before and they were awesome
  8. hahah quote of the week!
  9. C34 owners just dont get it
  10. old supra gearbox??
  11. VQ30DET is an old motor, compared to the VQ25s and VQ35. it was the first of the VQ series engine AFAIK
  12. hmmm 599 goodness
  13. is the stagea a tow car for the 1600?? i mean tow to the track not because its constantly broken lol
  14. ohh also Josh, there is a relay in the engine bay attatched to a bracket on the airbox mount. they are unique to aero selections and is wired to the switch i was telling you about to select the different fog lights also check behind that switch to the right of the steering wheel, they may have pulled the plug out of the back of it.
  15. its the same on most nissans, if not all japanese cars. Josh, remove the front bumper and have a look in there. they might have taped them up out of the way. its about a 15-20 min job to remove it. the hardest part is taking the 10 or 12 bolts out from under the bumper, its a pain in the ass lol do you know who did the compliance on your car? just ring them and ask what they did and they might be willing to tell you how to recitify it. maybe another M35 owner in brisbane can help you out if you get stuck?
  16. ECU remap is impossible at this stage. i can however comment that an aftermarket one found on the yahoo auctions would be completely beneficial. the intake is perfectly fine, its the inlet tract to the turbo that is the problem. the airbox flows well, no real point in changing it
  17. also spotted a gold M35 coming down my street yesterday, mid afternoon. was that you Eugene?
  18. thats actually reasonably priced! especially from nissan. i guess sometimes they will surprise you!
  19. hahahaha i had one double-sided taped next to my knee in my S15. cops would look at it and ask what it was, i mostly told them it was a mobile phone charger, thats what the USB port is for lol
  20. i have a spare ECU also, RS/RX, in case there is a map difference between that an the AR-X. direct throttle is the thing you want, anything else a piggy-back can do!
  21. ok had the same problem with mine. you should find a switch down next to the headlight heigh adjustment, it will be labelled 'I' and 'II'. 'I' will select the 'fog' lights integrated into the main headlight, 'II' will select the ones down in the bumper. behind the headlight/indicator stalk is a small cut-out that youll need to remove, they unlplug (hopefully not cut) this for compliance. plug it back in. in the bumper, mine was only disconnected, i replaced the lights and plugged them back in and they worked. it was the bit behind the switch that stuffed me up. with yours, if they have cut the wires, just replace them. there is a harness that goes from the bumber fog lights towards the drivers side into the main engine harness. check for any cuts and replace wires. if youre in sydney and want to compare to mine, ill be taking my front bar off this week to install an FMIC. or i or anyone probably wouldnt mind having a look at your car. there are a few aero selections kicking around now
  22. the chassis number can be checked in nissan FAST and will show up as an AXIS
  23. yeah done the gutter thing before, sucks doesnt it? to the track? hahah not yet! need to get the transmission looked at. i think with this additional torque, the gearbox wont like it did the ecu idle learn. perfect. 650rpm down from 1000-1100 odd
  24. spotted a black M35 coming out of the laneway behind my work last night i think you work in the building behind me
  25. both of those plugs will suit your car. the number difference is the temperature rating. the 5s are a hotter plug, the 6s being a factory temperature. if your car is modded, go for a cooler plug, 7s are fine. but i dont think youll see much of a difference. nissan will have O2 sensors, but try someone who stock bosch EGO sensors, they will be cheaper. Lager in Artarmon, Sydney, are a Bosch importer and the V35 is on their car parts list
