  3. also factor in the price of interior trim to suit the new handbrake location, plus the pedal box from a Z33/V35. i guess only the clutch is needed + master and slave cylinders and relevant lines (braided would be easy) and installation of said items. there MIGHT not be a hole in the firewall where the clutch master would sit.
  4. what model/year navara?? and does a VQ40DE have the same bolt pattern at the back of the engine. do they have constant AWD or is it atessa?

  7. the slots dont keep them cool, it allows the gas created from the friction to escape so the pad makes better contact with the rotor.
  8. hmm upgraded rotors and pads? maybe ill just do that!

  11. take it to a tyre shop. it should be a standard size. they can remove the hub and replace the stud. it might cost you all over $25 to get it done. maybe more depending...........
  12. i change my oil every 10k. 5k on an SR20 as its always high up in the rpm, the VQ25DET performs pretty well (in fairly stuck form) under 3k. oil should be fine, but as cam said, id be doing the filter with the oil regardless of how often you change it.

  14. there should also be a spot or two on the placard in the engine bay. probably silver spots.

  16. ahhh excellent! if that only worked lol there are too many wires that have been cut out during compliance. im sure i could put them back, but do i really need remote start? yeah, probably not lol

  18. OK, so I was cleaning the TPS and had my head under the dash and saw something Ive never noticed before! There is a toggle switch under the dash, just above the parking brake! I took a photo as I have NO idea what it does, there is a sticker in Japanese. I guess its the function of it. Anyone got ideas??
  19. yup, fairly common on VQ engines, not just the 25DET. try nissan for the part. its exy, but cheaper than you were probably thinking. someone on here has had to replace them.............
  20. it did it on the other wheels too (the other stock wheels ) yeah i guess there is THAT traction control which we all hate same tyre pressures! i cleaned - well, sprayed the TPS - today so ill see how it goes on the way to work tomorrow.
  21. spotted a white C34 at midway peanut round about this morning, i was filling up at the BP.
  22. its never at full-throttle, only very light throttle. AFAIK there is no traction control on M35s

  24. no my shudder is constant, and i can make it occurr for probably 10 seconds, and it gets worse the longer is goes. ive driven enough autos to know when lockup occurrs, but its not harsh like im getting. maybe, just MAYBE, the lockup IS the problem. i can be cruising at 100km/h, i might squeeze my foot to go up a hill and it will release and the revs go up. normal im guessing? (lets assume im in D and not M) sometimes, i can be in the same situation, and it wont unlock, and i REALLY need to push the throttle for it to kickback to 4th to overtake etc. its weird, but disabling will at least take the attesa out of the picture. assuming it continues to do it while its disabled. i should also look at WD40ing the throttle input attached to the pedal. it might be worn or dirty down at the bottom end where its driven most
  25. might be the CV/uni joint in the front drive shaft. maybe remove it and try again. ive been searching and R32/33 and C34 people have had some vibration problems similar to yours mate! check if they are loose
