  1. here this might help. note the bore and stroke. not so much the stroke..... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_VQ_engine
  2. the GTR motor is a VR38DETT
  3. the bore size is different, so new sleeves too!
  4. i had no idea, might be a better option than a hiflow stocker........ GTRS is a nice turbo!
  5. do HKS make aftermarket turbo kits for M35s?
  6. hiflow time??? hahah yeah yeah
  7. sure ask him if its ok! i wouldnt run my car on your map, thats asking for trouble, but yeah it might help lose an hour on the dyno lol i had a thought, the rev limit is a fuel cut, if the emanage is doing the injector pulsing, then its possible that the rev limiter can be moved...........
  8. extra fuel at WOT?? weird i thought they needed leaning out anyway, any chance of a copy of the map?? you dont have to, but it might be a good baseline for our cars when they need tuning......
  9. still wont take you to 3.5L the bore is narrower on the 2.5 and youll need shorter pistons for the longer rods from the 3.5
  10. nah it doesnt look hard at all!! new turbo and maybe injectors are a must tho. the turbo runs out of puff too easily.... cant change the rev limited, its a piggyback, its set by the ECU, and yes the ultimate CAN get rid of the speed cut
  11. what stag did you get?? pics?
  12. dont worry i do that too!! then people ask if im going to lock it.......
  13. on newer cars like ours the speed is taken after the diff. older cars like S13/S14 had a gearbox sensor. and yes the auto tranny shouldnt act any differently, youll either accelerate faster or slower depending on the ratio off the diff. that said, the gearbox might slip more with a taller final drive....
  14. well, she IS hotter than carbon fiber... hmm boobs lol
  15. 134 was before the tuning i take it?? 40kw for a tune? thats awesome!!
  16. actually id like to change wat i said, the entire casing may be different lol just change the internals the ABS signal only sends back the speed of the wheel no matter what ratios are before it. ABS doesnt know what gear youre in or your final drive ratio.
  17. i believe they are thermostatically controlled or else the elements would set fire to the car if they were on all the time
  18. her ass is ok, better ask andy, he has met her lol
  19. +1 on moving house! looks the good man
  20. except that FWD SR20s are different engines to RWD SR20s but afaik an R200 rear end contains all the same internals (except ratio and if its LSD equipped), i think only the rear casing is different as per the car that its installed into. i dont even think you need to get the ratio the same (assuming its an RWD V35) if you want longer gearing or shorter, the speed is taken from the ABS signal taken after the final drive....
  21. they are all universal harnesses AFAIK, but there are optional plug and play things for certain ECUs, its just someone has already hooked it up for you
  22. nah you dont need it really. it just adds some more tuning capabilities and more inputs to map and compare with timing/fuel etc. but the tuner will do all that for you anyway
  23. well, i paid $450 for mine and i thought that was a great price! so something similar, but i wouldnt go over $600.......
  24. yup perfect! thats got all 3 looms i managed to score the MAP sensor and loom with mine too and the loom for a wideband EGO sensor (ill have to buy one - maybe)
  25. sorry i shouldnt have put 'no' to begin with meaning all models. but apparently its NOT the same as the maxi. easy way to find out. look at the gearbox model number and compare it to other cars.
