  1. he seems to think every car thats ever had an accident and claimed under insurance is classified as a repairable write-off. wtf??
  2. the auction finishes in 2 days dude or are you talking about the one at GMS spares?
  3. i was gonna go check it out today if anyone wants to come??
  4. if he is asking 18k, then you can knock a few k off the price looks good! nice in white, the kit isnt THAT bad IMO.......
  5. hmmm i asked if it was a stat write off and he said its 'NOT' in capitals. so im asking for paperwork. insurance has had someting to do with it as it doesnt have rego. im 100% sure this car came from edward lees in june last year and i drove it anyway, he said GMS spares has an M35, so ive asked if they are seperating it (ECU + bits for me)
  6. hmm PM35 lights
  7. hahah nah i bought a new key from them, so they handed it to me and i asked if it will just work and they said yes. so i went out and guess what? it didnt work. like i told them lol anyway they chucked in the consult and programmed both keys for nothing
  8. i have a metal key that starts the car. AFAIK there arent many M35s around with the coded keys. chris rogers will know what to look for. as for shutting the car down, yes if you do have coded keys and you dont have the correct code key, then it will stop the car from starting. and then it wont start again. lucky that happened to me at a nissan dealer (in my S15), and they fixed it for free!
  9. haha i knew that, but a lot of people dont! hence why i said energy, but yes cooler more dense air can be compressed better thus having more energy
  10. if youre getting a tune for some reason or other, then i guess they can check the timing i might check my timing after i do an oil change this weekend - assuming i can be stuffed - and see what the base timing is.........
  11. actually a pod might decrease fuel comsumption as sucking through the standard airbox takes more work than the pod. that said, hotter air has less energy (yes i know thats technically wrong) than colder air which your pod is sucking in, unless you have a heat sheild. youll always get soot on a new exhaust, carbon is produced when you burn a fuel. thats what it is. but yes these cars run very rich from factory!
  12. most of that can be done if youre handy with a socket set and few screw drivers yes even girls
  13. this is speculation, but a lot of mechanics view imports as bad. little do they realise that they are still just a car. they hear the word import, then triple the price to fix it.
  14. ohh and remember now youll probably have to upgrade your master cylinder too
  15. geez thats a good deal!! any idea how easily they will bolt up?
  16. well, if they can afford a PM35 then its entirely possible!
  17. nah youd be able to hear it spool down even when you idle it down. the turbo is still spinning at idle.
  18. hmmm zero boost hahaha unless its got a TT kit
  19. try maltech. they will make up custom lines to your specifications. VERY good quality. and yes i have used their stuff before........ http://www.maltech.com.au/
  20. boost is easily controlled via your right foot. you want less boost, dont push the pedal as hard
  21. not really, coilpacks can be affected by heat, and if the temps are changing enough, they will cut in and out. plus its a sign that they ARE beginning to fail. if they swapped it out for a working ECU and its perfect, then yes. change it. but $1500 for a standard ECU?? youre getting ripped off unless its a power fc with installation and tuning
  22. its all good thanks, andy has kindly offered a copy of his!
  23. ahhh so YOU bought the one on IM? i was gonna bid on it myself for a spare
  24. that doesnt work oz panda. because if more air is going into the motor, the 'correct' amount of fuel would also be added. i saw correct, because thats what the factory tune says...... if youre thinking of leaning it out by pushing it and upping the boost. thats the most stupid way of doing it. not to mention dangerous! the only way to adjust this is by changing the ECU or getting some sort of piggyback system for it.
  25. thanks chris, ill get a copy of someones soon!
