well, you do it first craig and ill think about it nah id like to keep the auto if possible, but im prepared to go manual if there isnt TOO much trouble. but getting the auto box shifting a little faster would be nice! paddle shifter is on my list already, im so lazy i dont wanna move my arm to the gear selector to change gears. yes yes i hear you, leave it in 'D', but wheres the fun in that?

could you even option the bose system on an RS?? no RS had integrated stereo AFAIK as it took the place of the gauges. only RX, ARX and AXIS had tht option

i think you can tell where the new ones HAVE been. when you remove the sticker they leave behind a hologram or bit of sticker. but i guess you can just clean that up lol but glad you found it! the numbers match up right??

yup thats probably it. and it would have been NA as well. its entirely possible that they never had a manual option as the box may not have been able to handle the torque of the VQ25DET?

So I read this article about an AWD Z33. It has a stagea diff in the front, with the atessa bits also. http://www.superstreetonline.com/featuredv...ld_process.html Why cant this be done for an M33? pedal box, clutch etc from a V35, box from one also, all the bits a pieces thats are required......... I dont think it would exactly be an easy job, but to me, might be well worth it!! im guessing cost would be a big factor. i wonder how different the RWD box is to the AWD one? is it just the rear housing?? im just speculating here.... ohh and wishing lol

thanks chris, as per usual, youre the man! exactly the info i was after!! im picky about the way my music sounds, i dont need big bass, but i like some depth to the music and the stock setup doesnt completely do it for me. My old old S15 on the other hand was perfect.........

yeah its only in a dream if any factory head unit had RCA outputs lol those line level to RCA converters are pretty much shit, full of noise etc. so yeah an amp with line level inputs will be the go! anyone know where the factory amp is located for the bose optional system? im only assuming it HAS an amp, maybe the stock head unit has a bigger amp inside it?? or maybe its just better speakers? i can get the bass to distort on the stock speakers easy, they arent meant to be THAT good. and if i put the splits in, they are rated at 50watts (i think) and i rekon the factory speakers are probably something like 12watts? that will blow up the stock head unit if i run the splits. ill get some nice DC heading their way can anyone confirm if the door speakers are 6" or 6.5"?? ill go to jaycar and buy some stuff and make a project over the long weekend...........
