the dealer did it for me. and i believe he said he had to remove the seat. i think its only 4 bolts and a few plugs. cant be all that hard but when you put the bolts back in, be VERY careful you dont strip or cross-thread the bolts.

mine was doing something similar. turned out the switch was clogged up with coffee or something, it was cleaned out and works perfectly now! maybe thats all yours needs?

ok here are the pics of the filter location for M35 (V35 too i guess) this is after removing the glovebox, i assume most people can manage that so i didnt photograph it. The first pic is the location of the filter. pretty easy. on the left is the clip that opens the door (pic 2) to remove the filter. when you put the new filter back in, be careful not to squash your filter. there are locator things that stick out of the door. the filter resides in the top half of the gap. my old filter was squashed and didnt filter too well, it was also black as shit. the 3rd pic is the part number of the filter. its very much available in australia.

why would you wash the filter when you can buy a new one for under $40??

an FMIC isnt supposed to add power. i allows you to increase boost safely, beyond the factory set level. a factory interfooler will become heat-soaked with the extra heat generated by the turbo as its working harder thats why you didnt get any power, try turning the boost up

they did a gearbox oil flush while my car was at the dealer, it almost feels like a new car again. very smooth and that 'lag' isnt as bad now. maybe some of you need to perform oil changes?

thats exactly right 66yostagea. there is a huge community that are happy to help each other out. ive only met 4 stagea owners, but id be happy to help them out working on their car if they needed it. its all experience. buy some decent tools - dont need to go overboard - and take your time doing things and you wont mess up!

this is why i dont let people work on my car unless ive known them for a LONG time. i try to do all the work myself on my car. but i agree with too many dodgy workshops around. people are happy to take your money for nothing these days
