  1. spotted a blue M35 ARX with female driver near parramatta road and silverwater road. i followed it from near the bunnings carpark
  2. 6N201 is the plastic tube that the AFM fits into. the 6N211 is the actual hotwire which you need. yeah mine copped some dust and blew. but it was a 2nd hand one off the wreck, so it was bound to go soon anyway. the part number Leon has quoted from the M35 stagea forum is the correct one.
  3. it will make the engine appears to hesitate at low RPM. and youll get some flutter probably too
  4. replacing that intake pipe on the NA engines is worthwhile, as is the plenum spacer. a port and polish? you realise that means the motor has to come apart? probably not worth it unless you throw in some cams too
  5. yup alloy ones FTW and alloy subframe bushes too. had them in both S15s, another worthwhile mod
  6. nice work! very happy its not baby blue/old man blue
  7. the volt meter shows the battery voltage, when its being charged its around 13.9-14.4v (or something like that) check when the engine isnt running, if its around 12v then start the car and see how low it drops. also check earth wires there behind the drivers kick panel. if the alarm installer used wiring there, they may have inadvertantly removed something
  8. nice work dude! linky?
  9. M35 = standard trim however the oldies like the adjustment!
  10. nup, craig has changed his over a few times with my spare.
  11. there are a few bolts holding it in, but unplugging all the looms from the front and back and it will come out fine. dont worry about the plugs, they are ALL different
  12. does the speaker in the door work too? if it doesnt, there is a loom in the hinge of the door. make sure its plugged in and secure, and it has the rubber boot over it
  13. sometimes there are still flames with my car hahaha
  14. unless he has been driving for years in gokarts or something - no offence intended - then he isnt 'as good' as driver as some others and still may require the experience (and possibly patience) required on the road. i still take risks, but i use experience before i attempt anything stupid
  15. AFAIK there is a sunroof drain exit there, also the aircon heater unit will drain there if it leaks. if its clear, dont worry about it. we have had heaps of rain lately and it will come out there. i leave my car overnight outside and there is a pool of water right where youre talking. i havent driven the car for at least 12 hours......
  16. yeah i agree on all those points! either wait and get a VQ25DET motor installed (and i rekon youll have a monster) or upgrade later when you can afford to its easier learning to hone your driving skills on a lower powered car. then upgrade when you can drive better.
  17. if the BOV doesnt open and you get flutter, sometimes that CAN cause it to run rich. ill be running no cat. sorry i meant 'hi flowed cat' ill be using
  18. at the bottom of the website it says something like 'for other state insurance look at blah blah' still, thats pretty cheap!!
  19. state? suburb? garaged? is your house in the country or metro? all these are contributing factors. plus they only insure in SA!
  20. mine pops too when the exhaust is hot. mostly in manual mode when it stays in gear when i back off the throttle
  21. there are DD turbo motors out there already. from memory VWs 147TSI motor is DD and the 125TDI is DiD capacity would be the limiting factor.....
  22. external venting BOV?
  23. it doesnt need to lose traction for torque to be pushed forward, the G sensor will be used to predict when it may be required
  24. yup i can also confirm is the condenser drain. the drain from the battery area comes out there too........
  25. i assume you have a coupe?? i have 2 spare sets of mirrors, they will bolt up to a sedan. i know the mount is differrnt, i just dont know if the glass and the mirror part is the same
