  1. no worries craig, see you there again tonight! when we were bleeding the attesa system last night, craig put his foot on the brake and one of my braided brake lines split and pissed out brake fluid. LUCKILY the old set were still next door. threw them on and im able to drive just be aware M35 drivers, dont get the cheaper braided brake lines from IM. just get nismo or have a set made up by maltech. actually wasnt someone organising that?? im pretty sure i gave a set to someone to have that done
  2. are you sure it was an RB? i remember a VQ30DET with a manual gearbox doing some burnouts in a street
  3. nah not a massive deal 4 x 6mm allen key bolts to the diff, then its a little tricky to get the shaft out, but you can loosen the gearbox mount to give you a little more room to play with.
  4. the nipple at the transfer case is under pressure when the pump is running. even when the pump is stopped. hydraulic systems push bubbles to the furthest point (generally), so the bleed nipple at the motor end is the one you probably need to bleed
  5. incorrect. pull the front shaft out
  6. its entirely possibly! it SHOULD illuminate (i think) when you turn the key on to 'on' for a few seconds
  7. i have a factory bose sub for the spare tyre one day ill actually put it in lol
  8. i rekon bleed the attesa system. i get shuddering in reverse at full lock right now, and i know there is a massive airlock in the system. do you have the 4WD light on the instrument cluster??
  9. thanks for the photos. so youve lost a dead audio format (MD) and gained a still valid one? nice work! also like your placemats lol
  10. im always interested in more information mate. anything you post would be greatly appreciated!
  11. wire-cut mod + valve body upgrade = awesome mod nismo ecu helps too also, welcome baymanx. you mentioned you have a 2004 model? are you 100% sure? last time i heard they couldnt be complied due to emissions.
  12. lol did you make the part mate?
  13. i just had a thought, check the plugs to make sure the pins arent being pushed out of the plus when they are connected. if we had a working torch we might have seen something that wasnt right
  14. you have to admit it sounds good when it backfires. like a rally car! lol its probably a wiring issue, the other engine loom is at my place, i rekon we cut off the rear section as it goes to the gearbox, and put the old one on there.
  15. thats great news! MP3 FTW i rekon. i thought this sort of swap wasnt possible? really happy that it is!
  16. there will be a post lol maybe ill ebay it. not sure yet! is it just me or after the shift kit install, the transmission appears to 'slip' less even on take off? im guessing this may assist with fuel economy
  17. one item of awesome will be up for sale yes as for the shift kit, for a few bits of metal and a few springs, its a massive improvement lol
  18. installed my shift kit today. definite improvement! also fixed the leak in the trans cooler pipework helped craig swap his gearbox! and managed to buy a nismo ecu on yahoo. not bad for a days work!
  19. hahah shhhh ill have it out soon! gotta get that oil line and water lines made up and we are set to get it all out
  20. IMO i rekon the genesis looks better than the V36. no offence intended to anyone, thats just MY personal opinion. i still dont think id buy a hyundai after them making complete shitboxes. but as craig has mentioned, read how they wanted to run the company. their new in-house 5L V8 is a monster though
  21. a 2.5L V35 radiator will fit perfectly. a 3.5L V35 one will fit, with some slight cutting. dont bother looking for a new one the same, it will eventually fail again. either get a radiator shop to make up alloy tanks, or find an aftermarket one for the above models. no, a Z33 radiator will not fit without moving the radiator cap location.
  22. yeah he gave me everything he didnt use. which was both wheels attached to the centre. im turning it into a paperweight to put on my new desk
  23. i can drag the old centre out of the garage and measure it
  24. once the box went into lockup, if it was in it long enough it wouldnt come back out of it and yes they get into 5th quickly, but i find now if i move my foot a little it will kick back no problem.
  25. gave a black M35 RS a beep as i went past this afternoon around 5.30 in artarmon/gore hill area. it was the pacific hwy before the lane cove tunnel entrance
