    if you get a branded one, make sure its got the standard ROM on it. the telstra branded version i had was soooooooooo slooooooooow. installing gingerbread made me not want to throw it at someone

    thats a good point telstra were selling samsung galaxy tabs for $300 outright, no plan/contract/unlocked a few months ago. its an awesome media player with GPS. ohh and comes with angry birds for free lol except that i cracked mine and put gingerbread on it

    if he cleaned the throttle body when removing it all, or moved anything else, then it will need to be done but also good idea checking for vacuum leaks.

    the knock is probably something mis-aligned, or the bushes need greasing up a little more. the ECU reset procedure needs to be done after the plenum spacer the trans probably needs new fluid, or a top up! youll probably need to do the radius rod/castor arm bushes as they are pretty much all flogged out http://www.m35stagea.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=240

    i dunno, the g-tek timers were fairly consistent with the track timers when they did a test in fast fours or some magazine like that the iphone has GPS and an accellerometer(spelling) so its probably reliable. there was a BMW branded one on the istore a while back. i never tested it

    nah, but to be honest the specs were pretty shit. and youll be lucky if you get any support with them........ but i guess for $99 thats pretty damn cheap

    i have a factory double din stereo if you need one. it was working when i removed it. no jamming.

    yeah you need the ignition on and your foot on the brake pedal. if thats not working, its probably the solenoid that activated the locking mechanism. there is a manual override next to the park position. pull out the little stopper and stick a screwdriver in the opening. it will release it this is on an M35. C34 might be similar.

    someone on this forum will probably spot any issues or something that may turn into one better than any mechanic. assuming the mechanic doesnt own a V35. id probably take the word of an enthusiest over a 'general' mechanic as they know their shit with that car, and also care about their car. no offence to any mechanics who read this. just get someone to show you how to do it. as cam mentioned, its not that hard!
