  1. keep the boost down and youll be fine with a hiflow on stock everything else. 5k isnt massive, but its enough to replace all those ageing parts that really need doing! budget at least $1000 for labour for the turbo change. depending on who does it for you.
  2. lol you dirty f**ks but thanks for the birthday wishes!!
  3. ahh crap, you guys are too smart lol
  4. rofl damn i thought id used a completely different username on there!! and thanks mate!
  5. weird stalker type?? lol
  6. thanks mate what gave it away? i didnt realise my DOB was on the forum
  7. before the turbo, after the AFM. did you read what i said? a pressure leak AFTER the turbo is completely differernt to one before the turbo. a leak after it will cause the car to run rich as air is escaping; one before will cause it to run lean as there is more air in the system than it thinks is there.
  8. yeah i have it, but at the moment its being used in a jig as for people looking for M35 stuff, there is an entire forum for this exact thing. we have just been a little lax in creating the FAQs. but its there if you want to browse or add info to it
  9. thats after the turbo, its air that has already been metered, so the ECU knows about it. this is tricking the engine into not knowing about the air passing around the AFM. its like having a leak in the piping BEFORE the turbo but after the AFM. it never gets under pressure
  10. i have a day job, its in IT so i need to be online..........
  11. i would imagine youre on the money cam i dont think the ECU measures exhaust temp, only EGO. which it would then use to trim........
  12. i agree you said that, but you said you couldnt justify the price difference when there was no difference in the product. anyway, i understand
  13. there is no perhaps about it lol there is a difference, the setups are similar but not the same, hence the price difference in the 2 sets. its not an argument, i was stating facts. i guess the larger volume will give you the thermal capacity on the track, it would probably help on the street too, but bugger all i rekon.
  14. V1; 44mm piston in a 50mm damper BR; 46mm piston in a 53mm damper. bigger piston and damper diameter, and more oil. thats straight from the BC website. youll say its only a few mm difference, but when youre talking 50mm to 53mm thats a 7-8% increase in diameter, and over the entire length of the damper, thats a significant volume difference.
  15. thanks, i might see you there, i got a half empty skip to fill with car parts lol
  16. dude thats the 3rd time you have asked me, and yes it pulls to the left lol
  17. Leon thats awesome!! nice work mate
  18. you said there was no difference between the V1 and the BR. there is quite a difference
  19. yeah AUTO is the only one that lights up on the window switches. ive never looked down at night time to see whats lighting up on those switches....... i think it should
  20. awesome, when will mine be available??
  21. ok so the difference is the diameter of the damper. bigger cartridge and more oil. yes aaron, a significant amount lol
  22. Silver base model M35 on woodville road around 5pm today
  23. my springs are set so they are captive in the seats, very little preload. and i can tell the difference between damper settings and spring pre-load i still rekon they are different. only one way to find out!!
