    just kick it over, oil will get up there pretty quickly. im sure it doesnt stay in the turbo all the time, it will drain out after you stop the motor and leave it.

    carbon build up? whats the bet the low km cars that come into the country have done short trips all their lives? thus carbon build up as there hasnt been constant heat to burn it all off. mines still going fine at 117k. but who knows how long that will last lol it got a bit of a belting friday night and the trip home today.

    doesnt sound like something a transmission would make. just drop the tailshaft and see if the noise is coming from the transmission. put it in neutral and try to turn the yoke. rattle things around. might be something easy like a loose bolt

    check the uni joints in the tail shaft. see if there is some play in there also the yoke out of the back of the transmission. and i think there is a bearing halfway down the tailshaft, make sure that doesnt need replacing. also check the transmission mount

    its not used in a renault. its a hitachi processor, the same one is also used in an RX8

    actually its not all that unique. however on the other car its used on, they also havent cracked it.

    it doesnt need the factory head unit, however that keeps things simple as it has an aux input for the tv/satnav that is automatically selected when the tv button is pressed. if the aftermarket head unit has an aux input, then you can probably easily use it!

    kev i rekon dont purchase it with rego on it. technically youre supposed to change it once you take ownership so it would need to have SA rego as you live there thus wasting the 12 months of NSW rego which youll never see again because NSW RTA is tight lol

    yeah they do mobile inspections, but they cant chuck it up on ramps or a hoist to perform a thorough check. IMO NRMA inspection is a waste of money, get a mechanic who knows their sh!t to check it out.
