Cant say i agree with the getting caught for the third time and you lose your car part of this new law. I worked long hours to pay for my car, would hate to see that happen to somebody. As long as they enforce it fairly eg. Dont pick on certain import cars. then i dont really have a problem with it.

Do you think i should fit the standard rims and tyres for a run at the plex or just keep my 18s with 265s for better traction(hopefully).

Zanda if i get my car back in the afternoon yes, otherwise next wed. Rev210, never said i was a fantasic driver or anything just meant that if you have never drivin down the strip before than some knowleadge in how to launch, change gear at the right time etc, could get a better time.

I guess getting a good time at the track is not only having the rwhp but also some skill in driving the car right.

car already runs rich with only cat back exhaust and pod filter. Since exhaust was fitted some time back went from 450km per tank to 350km per tank. hope it doesn't get much worse than that. Although having a lead foot doesn't help the fuel situation. Hope to see some of you guys at the plex when i take it down.

Ok my target is the 350rwhp mark. Next mod is engine mangement would i expect to see around the 300rwhp mark with some good tuning.

230-250rwhp sounds sweet for the little money i have spent. so next week (that would be march 3rd) on wed might take it down the plex and see what she can run. Guessing a mid to low 13.

Im going to run around 10psi of boost by the way incase i forgot to mention that.

:headspin: Alright I finally am getting my front mount fitted 2day. Plus highflow cat and front pipe/dump pipe fitted. So the question is anyone want to give me a rough idea on how much power i should be making at the wheels, with above mods plus pod filter. I dont really want to spend money getting a dyno run done, saving for that when the wolf or power fc go in ( next month hopefully). Cheers

Not sure i should be posting this in the events section or not.... I thought that this type of event is an excellent idea. Maybe we should be following their lead (Nizmo hint hint). Not only could you raise money for the SAUWA club but also everyone can meet and check out other peoples rides. With such a large group here in wa surely there would be a huge interest. Just thought i'd put the idea out there.

I've got ebc green pads on my front brakes and they work excellent. Hardly any squeal but still a bit of brake dust. Can't remember how much but weren't 2 expensive.

Alright thanks guys. First plan is to take it back where i got it balanced the first time and do it again, they didn't do it right i think so they can have another go. If that doesnt work then might try the canning vale tyre power. Otherwise pray to god the driveshaft isn't warped or whatever.

Just bought some new rims two weeks ago and had them balanced etc. Few days ago i noticed that when driving at 100km/h or more that the steering wheel is shaking heaps. Im guessing this is a wheel balance problem, now to the question. Is there a special way to balance or align the steering on r33 skylines due to the 4 wheel steering etc? Anyone recommend a place to get it done? The car is has standard suspension etc.

Id go the GTR just because i love skylines, but i rekon go the evo. Very rare on the street and like u said if someone thinks its a lancer just dressed up then you can shock a few ppl. Plus cops might not hassle you as much due to the rare factor.

Just unhook the motor until you get a new one and push the glass up manually. Saves it being stuck down when your not in it. Worked for my mates GSR.

CRACK THE PAINT!! that doesn't boost my confidence about doing it. what are the chances of that happening??? Though $50 a guard isn't to bad.

Can anyone tell me a good place to get my rear guards rolled and pumped out a bit?? Just bought new rims 18x9 on the back with 265's and am thinking of lowering the tyres more into the wells.

The back end jumps around regardless of road surface (bumpy or smooth), in the wet not so much due to the reduced corner speed. But a cheap check up sounds the go.

Recently the back end of my car has been jumping around. Going around corners 2 quick you can really feel it, jumps + lose of traction. Is this due to the shocks on the way out or something else?? anyone???

Hey All, Im looking at buying some new rims for my r33 and was just wondering if anyone can tell me some good places to shop. I've looked at bob janes, etc, but am really after something more japspec. I like the look of the volk rims but only have a budget of around $3500 for rims and tyres.

Im going to purchase a carbon bonnet this month and was wondering the same thing. I rekon dont risk it summer time go the bonnet, winter and rain put your original back on. I dont know about you but i dont want to shell out $3000 for a new rb25det

Hey i dont think there is any need to start giving shit to people who have only been on this forum for 2 months or so eg. ME The point of this thread was to get info and chuck a few ideas around about the whole club idea. Theres no need to go down the "Hey ive been here longer than you so your opinon means nothing" track. From my limited experience on this forum i found that the majority of users have good advice and r friendly and im sure any club formed as part of this forum will be enjoyed by all regardless of wat kind of cars can join.

I bought a GFB stealth FX it vents to atmosphere and recirculates, so it prevents over fueling when changing gears which causes the backfire. Haven't noticed any more lag than usual though.
