This is true, though I came to look at your GTR by myself and I didn't even take it for a test drive. You can tell when people are truly "looking" at buying or just wasting your time....

Price really doesn't bother me these days. If i need fuel and some BP is the closest with 1.47 I will just go there..not worth driving around wasting fuel just to save a few.....$$$$

Unfortunatly I rekon it is fairly common. You might not hear of it much but it is a fairly easy way to steal a car when you think about it. Recently had a guy take my 180sx for a test drive and I was stupid enough to let him go by himself, came back with a blown heater hose, engine was hot as hell. Of course i made him give me cash to repair it, moral of the story though is, you can never be to careful. Im guessing your car was insured mate? Hope 13K covered what you were after for it.

As has already been said so many times...all this is your problem..no point blaming anyone but yourself. If you buy a car that has issues there is no way to prove that they were there when you bought it or wether the owner had any idea that those issues existed. Some kid bought a car off me two years ago, called me a week later and said "hey mate, just wrapped the car around a poll" I told him tuff luck mate, and hung up...not my problem... Moral of the story get independant checks done on the car you are interested in ..get one, two, three as many as it takes so you are satisfied of the outcome... I filled up the other week to test what I can really get if I just drive half decently.....460km before the light came on....that is excellent for my car.

I would go for the kill switches also. Hidden well under the dash or wherever. Kill the fuel pump and POW!! can not start the car..
