Hi all, the time has come to sell my R34 GT-T sedan, it is silver grey metallic, has tiptronic either on the console or steering wheel, original 17" alloys with good tyres, good trim, Climate control, front and side airbags, traction control, a couple of minor blemishes, and is ACT registered. This is a great car to drive and is mostly ummolested apart from a pod filter. Perfect for the family Skyline driver with young kids, since two doors are a pain with booster seats etc. It is a 1998 model, first imported with 93000 kms, I am the second owner in Oz. It has some of the japanese service stickers on the drivers door opening, but since I dont read Japanese I cant tell you what they say. For SAU members only I am offering it for sale for $8500 firm,(apologies to others asking $12K and upwards) I know this is the cheapest one available in this condition but I have too many toys (7 motorcycles, R32 GTR etc) and some have to go. I also need a cheaper car for my daughter, auto, four cylinder, power steering and air conditioning, not turbocharged, not Korean and I may take it as part payment. This will be done on a first in first served basis, the first person with the money owns it. I will post photos as soon as possible. No worries, I just need to get to the car to have a look (Car in Canberra, me in Michelago), if the mount is the same I will pull one out.

Nice upgrade, are they harsh? I will have a look a mine and try to determine which mine have. I might have to pull one out to sit them side by side. Probably wont be able to look until Thursday though.

Can you tell me what the bottom mount for the rears look like? Eye fitting or fork type fitting? Tops look the same, I guess the only other variable is length and bottom mount.

Do the GT-T coupe and GT-T sedan have the same suspension? Are these from a coupe or a sedan?

Black 33 on Monaro Highway about 8.00 this morning around Michelago flashed headlights, apologies I was too distracted to wave in time, dark R32 GTR? in my mirrors on Parkes way around 11.45 am, I was in the Blue R32 GTR with the trade plate on the back, silver R32 on William Hovell drive around 10.00ish heading into City. There were Skylines everywhere today.

My R32 GTR on my property

Silver 32 GTR? parked outside Hardly Normal Barrier St Fyshwick this morning and a Silver 33 parked in Wiluna St same time.

Agreed JD, I would prefer to have it rebuilt by a professional as well, but if I can buy a good s/h diff then I can send it to a "reputable" rebuilder to have it checked/rebuilt properly, so that the whole process only has to happen once rather than fit a s/h diff only to find out that it is farked and have to pull it out again, but obviously I want to start with a diff that does not require a full rebuild if possible. It is easy to say "just get it rebuilt" but I have a problem with the "open cheque book" approach to owning a GTR. This is a 20 year old car and a perfectly good 20 year old s/h diff is ok with me as long as I ensure that its ok before swapping it. I am a big believer in "if it aint broke, dont fix it" way of doing things and since this car is not driven hard, a good checked s/h diff will do just fine. Having said all this, I will also make sure that it is in fact the diff making the noise before pulling it out, other things such as centre bearing, wheel bearings (fairly sure this is not the cause) are eliminated by a reputable mechanic first. It just seems to me that it is the diff, but I could be wrong. Regards, Tony

First of all, thanks for the replies and PM's, and your right Trozzle, I'm keen to stay with the original ratio because I don't want to change other ratios to match, my first post was probably a little confusing, the reason I mentioned ratios was to make sure that I didn't buy the wrong diff for my car, not to look at options for different ratios. I now believe all R32 GTR's have a 4.111 to 1 ratio diffs so it was just my lack of knowledge on the subject that caused me to ask. Regards, Tony
