1600?? thats a bit high ... thers been lots of threads about this before ... but mine is about 1200 when cold ... goes down to about 600 or so when warmed up, ie when the temp gauge is half way up

Okay guys, i'm just putting on some free advertisement for these guys, who are friends of a friend. Anyways its called Vivagarage. Its on 192 Morphett Street, which is opposite the balfours factory. I went to have a look last night, its pretty small but they did have some perfomance stuff, not much cause its still coming in from japan i think, but they had a whole lot of RICE, so if u like your rice, go there!!! stuff the currently have: Powerfc's with a hand controller. Lots of blowoff valves. Lots of gauges. couple of wings. lots of turbo timers. check for accidents ... and maybe little bits and peices missing here and there ... eg. i went to this dealer ... i asked about this particular skyline had a look ... looked pretty clean ... then i noticed that it didn't have a holder for the stick of metal that keeps the bonnet up ... so i would assume that that car has been in an accident ... theres been lots of threads on advice ... do a search ... i'm sure u will find way better advice than mine as i've read them!!! good luck!!!!

get ur brakes checked out ... it might have lots and lots of rust on it ... get them machined if need be too ... doesn't cost that much ... maybe 40 bucks or something like that ... check out your pads too ... doesn't compliance do these things?? anyways give us some pics of your car mate ... i'll see u out on the streets its a red colour right??
