My rb20det is completely stock ie no exhaust, stock boost, stock turbs. theres ur reason ... how much power gained from upgrading those?? well instead of the turbo .. maybe an intercooler?? .. sometimes people double their power with those upgrades ...

well its not really an expander ... its ore like a shifter ... so it shifts the signal 20Mhz so that eg 100Hhz is now 80Mhz and 90Mhz is 70Mhz etc .. so that the deck can see it ... i think i'm right ..

it is because of the reflectivity of a particular media ... most old decks can't play it because the signal coming back from the media is not strong enough ... hence it searches and searches without any luck and goes kuput!!! ... anyways if u dont' wanna change decks then find a better quality media ... especially ones with a coated back if u know what i mean ... or just buy a newer cd deck which amplifies the weak signals so its made for cdr and rw's

using xbox to show rpm?? it would be more easier to use a PC .. but yeah it'd be cool to have a PC or whatever and run in inputs and the PC to decode the rpms .. boost ... etc and display it as it is on a GTR ... program wouldn't be hard to write ... just the signals might be a little hard to decode thats all ... may need to build a custom board ... (i can do that!! !!)
