  1. EDIT: having forum problems; cant attach pictures and the post toolbar where you can insert pictures by url just doesn't seem to exist any more.
  2. it can't be 40db. That equates to the noise of a library or a bird call. It's at least double that figure, closer to 90db
  3. cheers guys
  4. weather's looking nice on Saturday. Has anyone that's entered got the 'info pack' email yet? What time are they setting up, and where are the entrants entering from? I'd like to get there early and get some shots of any cars rolling in from surrounding areas
  5. don't you have an evo? doin a'ight for a uni student.
  6. it's not just braking performance that goes down the toilet.
  7. i'd imagine as long as the tops of the guards don't foul the tyres it'd be ok. as long as you're not running ridiculous amounts of camber. Lots of cars have bumpers that narrow inwards
  8. i think it was said a few pages back, but that might be the 'increased track' rule, But Rims and tyres must also not "foul any part of the body, suspension, steering or brake components; at any position of suspension travel, steering movement and when in the straight ahead position" [Keep in mind, this is coming from the Victorian Vehicle Standards Information]
  9. cue Fast and Furious jokes GO!

  11. Poke; Noun The phenomenon in which an automobile's wheels are fitted in a way that the faces of the wheel extend beyond the guards.
  12. [quoted from VicRoads here] "The overall diameter of any replacement rim and tyre must not be: -more than 15mm greater than the largest diameter tyre specified by the vehicle manufacturer for that model or vehicle series, or -more than 15mm less than the smallest diameter tyre specified by the vehicle manufacturer for that model or vehicle series"
  13. Work CR Kai's/Kiwami's aren't too expensive. They're a step above Rota's and Varrstoen's but not quite in the ame bracket as TE37's. http://www.jdmconcept.com.au/brand/work

  18. who are you and why are you looking at my profile?

  19. what marc is trying to say is that its your attitude that could be a potential problem you bought a car that you know, as per the law, should be prohibited; you then made steps to put yourself behind the wheel of said car (with no guarantee that the exemption would go through). yes you went through legitimate means, but it takes a certain amount of subconscious arrogance (or an 'i'm better than that' mindset) to go for it. I'm not having a dig at you mate, but we all know that such a mindset (regardless of age) is not a good thing. EDIT: Mad082, i don't even know if your names marc. :S i dont know if it's your signature or what, but for as long as i can remember on the forum, everytime i see a post of yours ive associated your account with 'marc'
  20. the downshifts. of my farking son of rajab, those downshifts. HNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGG
  21. Wrong. I didn't, because I knew the rules and accepted them. I didn't have the arrogance to think I could loophole through the system. I'm usually a P-plate sympathiser, but you didn't start this post on a good note. You're probably not going to get an exemption since you knowingly bought a car that you full well knew you are prohibited to drive, and you had equal opportunity to buy a car that's p plate legal. They're not going to accept "oh it was a good buy, so i bought it, now i've already got it..."
  22. you're not gonna make any money. If you wanna preserve the selling price for when you're off you P's, clean it up, keep it stock. You. Will. Not. Make. Any. Money.
  23. IIRC it's only the rear shocks that differ from model to model. So when looking at the BC Coils and eyelet/forks, they're talking about the rears. I assume that all 34's have eyelet mounts on the front.
  24. well how about that...
